| Does anybody here listen to "Liars", if you don't you should. They were originally classified as dance-punk but after the release of their new album "Drums not Dead" I dont think that really applies, its a hard album to explain so I'll use my good friend Wikipedia.org Drum's Not Dead (2006) is the third album released by art rock band Liars. It was recorded in Berlin and produced by David Andrew Sitek. The sound is characterized by pounding drums, highly distorted guitar drones, and falsetto vocals. Upon initial release, the album featured a DVD with three different music videos for each song. Many Liars fans feel the album is their strongest and most cohesive listening experience. The songs "It Fit When I Was a Kid" and "The Other Side of Mt. Heart Attack" were released as singles, though not promoted in any real way. It is a great album to listen to stoned probably because the band mostly consists of stoners. Give it a listen and if you already have say so. p.s. The DVD that the wiki talks about is pretty bad ass and made for watching stoned, just to prove these guys are potheads one of the video's is just a snail for 1 hour, interesting for the first 10 mins or so but after that it just gets out of control. |
