All of the bands mentioned here are awesome! Particularily Phish, String Cheese Incident and the many Les Claypool projects. I have just about every CD Les Claypool has ever released (From Sausage, to Flying Brigade, to Holy Mackeral)

I went to my first jamband 'concert' this summer. The band was God Johnson, and I suggest everyone check them out, they are from Minnesota.

It wasn't really a big concert because it was in a bar, none the less these guys were so amazingly good I almost started crying I was so moved. Well, that and the combination of pyschadelics I was on definetley hit me hard!

Yes i have been to 6 of there concerts. they are my absolute favorite band. Many people just sterotype them as not being a jam band so i just said that. I love them and they will always be my favorite listening? Do you like them?

I do NOT consider DMB (notice i'm using fan-based nomenclature) a jam band.

If you go to a SCI, WSP, or back in the day Phish concert--you would know what i'm saying. DMB shows are full of Abercrombie wearing, trust fund, ignorant, privllilaged punks who "think" they have found a "scene"...DMB plays to this too--by producing songs with little to no substance or lyrical content.

I have personally met all but one of the members of SCI, have both my ticket and a signed concert poster by them...They are totally down-to-earth and almost "shy" about what they provide for the public.

It's a shame that SCI is breaking up after their next tour--however, WSP still seems to be going...
