| They're called Russian Circles, and if you like good hard rock to smoke to you should check them out. It falls into the post-rock genre and has no lyrics, but that shouldn't stop you from checking them out. The song Carpe leads into Micah, so I'd recommend listening to those two in a row. Please let me know what you think.

| This used to be a good forum, but nobody seems to give a shit about things they don't know about. Such a shame. |

| Noone replies to your post (after one day, no less) so suddenly a good forum is no longer good? Seems a bit pretentious, dontcha think? (Can you really expect the subforums of a Marijuana site to be as active as the main topic? If you really want a more active music discussion, you ought to visit some music forums....)Either way, I had a listen, and it's good stuff but nothing to write home about. If you're into instrumental rock, I highly recommend checking out Isis and Pelican if you haven't already. |

| I've based my opinion on more than one of my threads getting hardly any replies, not just this one. I've been around this forum since I was in high school, which is nearly 7 years ago, and this forum was a lot better than it is now. I don't think it has anything to do with me being pretentious, I'm just annoyed at the way our culture is changing to one that is narrow-minded and unable to expand their tastes. I don't expect a lot of people to like it, but there are people on here that would like it if they actually listened. I have heard Isis and Pelican, but the vocals for the former puts me off listening to them. Thank you for taking your time out to listen and respond, now we'll see if anybody else steps up and tries something new. |

| I listened to most of the first couple songs , where are the kickass guitar solos? If your going to do all instrumentals, why not make the song a little less dull and throw in some solos. Sounds really emo influenced if you ask me. |

| While I don't think it's anyone but the artists' place to say what their music is all about, generally this type of music is much more about the development of different themes and layers as opposed to technical splendor. It all sounds very classically inspired to me; but take what I say with a grain a salt, as I'm not very into this genre and have never so much as wikipedia'd any of the bands that belong to it. |

| They were better than I thought they might be after reading vern's "emo influenced" comment, but still, I didn't totally flip my lid or anything. It's not something I'd listen to on my spare time, but they didn't suck. They remind me of Mogwai actually....

| It's not my cup of tea. Actually, I enjoy music without lyrics a lot, but it seemed too chaotic for me. ![]() I figured that out before listening to it, but because you had your little rant, I actually checked it out, and found out that I was right. Sorry. |

| this band sounds exactly like pelican and explosions in the sky. not necessarily bad, but it will get boring after a few months. if you dig this stuff you should really check out red sparowes. |
