I have seen this guy play live 6 times over the last 3 years. He never fails to blow me away with his unique style. He plays an electric violin. This means he can hook up effects pedels like wah-wahs, reverb, and even loop himself live on stage. At times it might sound like 5 violins playing, but he's the only one playing!

He not only plays a custom-made SIX string violin (most are 5)...it's electric like an electric guitar....but the real kicker is that it's WIRELESS! He will walk amongst a crowd playing and getting right in front of you and making eye contact go off on a riff just for you and then walk off to another person. The freedom this adds to a live show is amazing!

Both of the above videos were taken by me in person at a weekend of shows up here in Alaska...

Finally, here is a professionally shot music video of the song called "Float Downstream"...this song has nearly 6 seperate parts, but he records/loops and plays them all. He even plays his violin with his fingers ala a guitar...It's insane.

Check this guy out, it'll blow you away. Easily one of the best violinists out there right now. He's even a cool guy to talk music and stuff with--very personable.

I'm totally digging the tunes. The wah wah pedal effects on the second vid were quite cool. Yeah, I was singing along. I sent an add request to his myspace. Thanks for posting this
