Telling people that a band rocks your cock is kind of strange bro.

I love Tool. I first heard of them when "Schism" recieved some local radio airplay, and "Lateralus" is still one of my favorite albums ever. I also love "Opiate", especially the live track "Jerk-Off".

Agreed. One of the reasons I like the band is Adam Jones' guitar work. There's never five minutes of "way up high on the tiny strings", but the riffs are complex in their own right. "The Pot", to date, is one of my favorite songs to play. I also known "Schism" and most of "Parabola".

^ I don't suppose it takes a genius to know that I love Tool. Danny Carey is quite possibly one of the greatest drummers ever.

Tool plays in such odd time signatures that it makes them great to listen to while stoned. Your mind just wraps around it and you get lost in their music. Very talented group of people who just happen to work very well together and make amazing music.

This guy does amazing bass for Tool songs.. he's also the owner of the tooltabs site: Link
This guy is a great guitarist that does Tool songs: Link

Tool is in my top 5 favorite bands. They're amazing live.

Weed+Tool = Absolutely Amazing.
Acid+Tool = One of the best things to experience.

I recommend ALL they're albums.

I love all of Tool's songs, but if you want some recommendations of what songs to absolutely keep on your computer or mp3 player, I'd keep:

The Pot

Sober

Lost Keys(Blame Hofmann)/ Roseta Stoned
(listening to Lost Keys first really sets the mood for listening to Roseta Stoned, also makes the beginning of the song make more sense too)

Parabola

Ticks & Leeches

Eulogy

Jimmy

Aenima

Vicarious

The bassline in The Pot is insaaaaane. LOVE IT. Justin Chancellor is a great bassist.. one of the best, IMO.

At 1:33 into the song has to be one of my favorite bass parts to any song ever.

I absolutly agree, i never knew how much he added to that them untill i saw them live. He does a lot of the effects that go unoticed when listening to them on the alblums.

Also some other songs you should listen to if you are not very familiar with them are : Parabol/Parabola , Lateralus , The Patient, Opiate, Bottom.
