|  I absolutely love Mike Mangini. This guy is a huge inspiration for me to take the drums more seriously, and even write drum parts that can "bounce off" the guitar parts I write. | I don't really know any drummers but out of the ones I do know I would have to say Danny Carey is my favorite. He always creates an intense atmosphere with his drumming. Most drummers just sit there and keep a beat, but he takes it a step further.

| Always thought John Weathers of Gentle Giant was pretty underated...underrated? Whatever. He had to be a decent basher to handle the weird rhythms. |
