| Perhaps Angeles by Elliott Smith, or Album of the Year by the Good Life. |

| There are a few songs from Dispatch that can make me feel much better when im feeling depressed, but i would not call them life changing songs. |

There are all kinds of cool people there, and we just talk about the Grateful Dead and some other bands, too. There's show reviews, discussions of favorite versions of songs, etc. etc.

Plus about a gig of Phil & Friends mp3 / 6 gigs lossless. I wouldn't consider myself a Deadhead, but I am quite a fan. It doesn't get much better than some live Dead!

| Unfortunately, I'm not that lucky. I'm only a sophomore in college at the moment, and I truly envy anyone who got to see the Dead at ANY time, let alone any time before 1990. "Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world...."

| Ok. well. here is my strong suit. i am music FANATIC. i know ALOT when it comes to the topic. Alot of unheard bands i listen to inspisred many of the bands you all know and love today. As for what songs make ME feel good, i dunno if it will make YOU feel good. but. Nirvana helped me through a rough stage of depression. The way kurt expresses his emotions in his lyrics and vocals was just amazing. and knowing that he too was going through such heartache and kept on going was such relief to me. The Velvet Underground are an AMAZINGLY good and EXTREMLY overlooked band. You've heard of Lou Reed im sure. Well, lead singer/main songwriter and vocalist in The Velvet Underground, his first band. The song Heroin, download that, it is the most INTENSE song you will EVER listen to while you are stoned and it is soo soothing. Other than that i listen to. Otis Redding, The Beatles. John Lennon, Ramones, Misfits, Velvet Underground, Lou Reed, a lot of old 60's psych/acid rock like pink floyd (i dont like albums from Dark Side of the Moon onwards. i like syd barrett. one of the original pink floyd members) Babyshambles, Libertines, Pete Doherty (acoustic, relaxing). I could go on and on. anyway. ive ranted enuff. i hope i've help expand your mind a little. If you tell me what genre of music ur into i'll give u a list as long as ur arm of bands out there. |
