Both songs had major changes on my perspective of the world around me when I was tripping, and I still carry that perspective to this day. Wonderful songs.

definitely. that's a sad song, at least how i interpret it. The Mars Volta got me into a lot of other music like Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix. I didn't really like a lot of those '60s and '70s bands till after I heard the Mars Volta. RHCP got me into the Mars Volta and so on. But yeah, Mars Volta, RHCP, NIN, Nirvana, Jimi, Pearl Jam, AC/DC, Alice in Chains, Sublime. Especially NIN, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, and Pearl Jam. They've gotten me through some pretty rough points in my life.

the first time i saw them live was at a red hot chili peppers concert, they were pretty disappointing, but then later on i saw them at a small venue and they were amazing.
