| spiral - i know who maynard hates beacase he has stated this in interviews. thats when maynard himself says things that he thinks so that those of us who arent him can know what he thinks. and as much as youd rather come off as arrogant and be right, you dont. you come off as arrogant and wrong. i just wish i could tell you what i really think of you without getting banned. (ps - i do deal with you liking cheesdick music. i think its fairly funny that you still contend that power metal is good music. it just reaffirms to me that you truly have your head up your ass and are a pretentious, arrogant child.) |

| Really good choices Prong_67! That Prong video doesn't appear to be working however. I've never actually listened to Prong but I'm listening to a song (snap your fingers snap your neck) on Youtube and I really like it. What are some of their better albums I should acquire? Death is probably one of my favorite metal bands. That video is pretty fucking creepy, something about that little kid and the grandma beckoning him into the darkness. I was soooo into Death when I was younger. They were the first actual 'death metal' band I listened to. Something about them just made my blood churn and heart pump, must've been all the teen angst and obsession with morbid life... My favorite song of all time by Death is Spirit Crusher ( I listened to The Sound of Perserverance the most ). It's terrible how Chuck (frontman) fought and died so tragically to cancer. I remember when it happened because I had just started listening to the band through introduction from a friend (It was 8th grade, it was 2001 when he died). Here it is live, in all its glorySepultura anyone? I wasn't too big on Soulfly, but I liked some of their material. The 'new' Sepultura is a shadow of what it was, but their album Dante XXI wasn't too bad. Their new singer I do give props to though, he has a hard spot to fill (Max Cavelera ).Anyone stoked about the Cavalera Conspiracy? It has Max, guitar, and Igor, drums, Cavalera - some dude from Soulfly - and the guitarist of Gojira on bass!! Gojira is another one of my favorite metal bands, I have their live DVD and it is undoubtetly my favorite metal DVD of all time, the show is insane - those Frenchies go apeshit. This is a taste of The Link Alive DVD. What a crazy fucking crowd... And Gojira's trippy ass video "To Sirius" from their concept (and masterpiece IMO) album, From Mars to Sirius (2005). We can expect a new Gojira album later this year. With a new Eluveitie, Solstafir, Gojira, the Cavalera Conspiracy albums coming out, it's going to be a GREAT year for metal. edit: I'm sorry I just can't contain myself. Anyone heard of Dissection? They are a very good band with a unique sound, with a very interesting history - and end. Their lead singer Jon Nödtveidt was part of the Temple of Black Light, they basically worship Chaos. Only 2 years ago he took his own life with a gun at his home. He was surrounded by lit candles and had a Satanic Grimoire, a book for conjuring up demons and spirits. Anyways, if you want to read into it, it's a pretty interesting band. Jon was also convicted of murder, did his time, then restarted his band.... Here are two great tracks from Dissection, enjoy. | They did a real good job with that symphony X video, Serpent's Kiss. I like how they didn't focus too much on the ugly members (Romeo, the bassist) :P |
