Anybody copped the new Wu yet? Ive given it a listen through one time, Ill need to a couple more times to fully critique the tracks. Still, I can pretty much say, While My Guitar Gently Weeps is the best track. RZA even changed it up from the Loud.com release earlier. Its all live instruments now, and has a nice guitar solo tacked on the end. Anybody else diggin the new Wu?

I can't bring myself to lisen to it. I've read that various members of Wu even hate the album. From what i heard, RZA changed a LOT of things at the last second without approval from anyone else. If I remeber right, its Gohstface and Raekwon that have admitted that the album is horrible.

If ya ask me, Wu is falling apart pretty quickly. Once a group starts fighting over financial matters, its never the same. i mean, how many artists come out and say that the album they just released simply can't compare to "classic" material by the group? Most people strive for iomprovement, yet heres member's of Wu basically saying its whack compared to previous work

But thats the nature of the game. Nothing compares to the old school tracks for any legendary group/artist. Bone thugs is a prime example. Its really weird though, cause there is a track that is straight outta 1980 something. Its such a throwback track, that I believe it may have been recorded back then and is just now being released. If not, RZA is a genius at replicating the old school sound.

As for Ghostface talking shit about the album, I dunno. It is a good album whether or not RZA changed up the beats. Why would we care what he did with that album, as long as its a good jam. I cannot imagine him changing it for the worse with the production experience he has. Dont know if The Heart Gently Weeps is one of the tracks Ghost is referring too, but it has changed for the better in my opinion. I feel that he is talking shit because he is in competition with Wu being released within a week of each other... Give it a listen, then critique.

Official album release is December 11th isnt it? thats wat it says on there site anyways, but i found a torrent for it so listened to that. It think its prbly their worst album, thats not saying its bad though cause i love all their albums still a decent hip-hop album that is def worth getting but i was just a little bit disappointed.

Adidas, i think youre talkin about the 16 chamber track, im pretty sure its previously unreleased stuff. they released an album before of unreleased stuff called Wu-Tang and Friends: Unreleased and there was also some unreleased songs on the Loud.com album.

December 4th was the release date to my knowlege. I may have gotten a leaked copy still, so I need to check into that. I dont think its their worst album, they have so many, surely not. I wasnt a big fan of The W, so Ill say its better than that. Im gonna check out that Unreleased shit, thanks.

it's an alright album, was hoping for the rough sound on the first album and the solo joints by ODB, ghostface and method man, but i guess this will do, surely better than those albums produced by RZA during the late 90s, way too clean and thin sounding. first track sounded the best on the first listen.

I picked up the album the other day, and as a committed Wu-Tang fanatic, this album just doesn't feel Wu to me. RZA is a genius yes, but I just don't know if I can even bring myself to like it as ODB is dead. It just isn't the same.
