I once wrote most of these lyrics in strips of duct tape on the closet doors of the Garfield's band house in Pocatello Idaho. The rest of the band was tripping. I was flying. And then the pizza guy showed up.....

I`ve got to hand this one to Skip James- 'delta blues' musician for his song 'Hard Time Killing Floor Blues". He had this wonderfully unique guitar finger-picking style that accentuated the meter of the verse fantastically, and his lyrics are... well, see for yourself:
