If a juggalo is a fan of ICP then how is it that the band members refer to themselves as juggalos?

A juggalo can be a fan, but it's more than that as well. It refers to the scrubby, outcasted kids who get nothing but shit. So you find this music, and like it, and find a family in it, and although you still get shit for who you are, who the hell gives a fuck cause you're not alone. However ICP did absolutely invent the term.

Please, if I'm wrong, show me an example of this word being used BEFORE ICP. Urban dictionary isn't really an "authority" as anyone who wants to add something can. It doesn't make it "correct" or "accurate" in any way

I try never to generalize but everyone does it to some point. Its just most the juggalos I knew growing up in school, we're kids who were obsessed with vandalizing everything. If it could be torn down they try it.

They also would go around the neighborhoods and toss lit bottles on fire into backyards.Now like I said I try not to generalize. I have met one or two who aren't like this. But the majority I know just like to fuck with people for no reason. Which I don't understand.

As for ICP, I don't hate the music, But I don't really listen to it either. I Think they a great marketers though. I meen look at the fanbase, its huge. They can market on all the kids who feel like an outcast. Sad but true.

I'm not a juggalo myself really, but most of my best boys are. I still listen to a lot of it, not so much ICP but boondocks and blaze are fuckin sick. Most of my fridays are speant in the company of some crazy hardcore juggalos rappin in circles to their shit and passin Ls.

As one of my friends put it when I was gettin introduced to some new juggalos friday: "Gabe ain't a juggalo, but he's a real controversial associate of juggalos."

A Juggalo (male or female) or Juggalette (more commonly used for a female) is a member of the group that has grown up around the fanbase of the Michigan rap/horrorcore group Insane Clown Posse (ICP), and related recording artists at Psychopathic Records. Much of the predominant philosophy of the group stems from the Dark Carnival, a mythology that was carried as a theme in six ICP albums known as the 6 Joker's Cards.

The Juggalo subculture started in the early 1990s. As seen in other subcultures, from parallels in music came parallels in interests, style, and slang. Facepainting in the style of ICP and other Psychopathic Records artists is a common practice at Juggalo-oriented social activities.

That sucks that most the Juggalos you know are those kind of people. But I've noticed people go "oh he breaks stuff AND he's a Juggalo" when someone who just breaks stuff doesn't really get as bad of a time about it.

I'm the Juggalo going "You are retarded, what is this going to accomplish, blahblahblah"

And I don't think it's their marketing point. Perhaps since they WERE outcasts themselves, their music reflects that, and thus similar people are attracted to it. It's like saying KMK markets to people who smoke bud, no, THEY smoke bud, their music reflects it, and potheads are attracted to it.
