Anybody know of the jewish regge artsit called matisyahu now he may be jewish and not aloowed to smoke weed but you got to admit he sure does make alot of songs that sound like weed smoking songs well i know its regge but he must toke up now and again on the sly lol

uhm.... judaism doesnt have a rule against smoking weed, or against weed at all.
Matisyahu has his own personal opinions and beliefs, which one of them is against weed. Matisyahu has lots of lyrics in lots of songs denouncing weed, dude.

he doesnt smoke weed EVER, he is VERY against it

Wow so jew can smoke weed what about beer i know quite a few muslims who say they dont drink because the karan says there not alowed anything that may intoxicate there body but they all smoke weed i would of thought weed would intoxicate ya body

I like some of Matisyahu's work.

He doesn't smoke pot, he Orthodox Jew I believe... however, it's his own personal view that he doesn't need intoxicants to be 'enlightened. He also doesnt operate anything electronic or mechanical, or touch money on the Jewish sabbath (Fri-Sat I believe, correct me if I am wrong)....

That's one of his best songs too. Honestly, I think the guy is pretty good but alot of his music is just 'meh'.

Yeah, I was really diggin' his music when Live at Stubbs dropped. It was cool, I listened to it alot. Then, the other CD I bought, I forgot what it's called but I agree with Spiral, it is 'Meh'..

jewish people can drink beer too.
in fact many jewish holidays include lots of drinking. (and i mean LOTS)
judaism is based off of the old testament, they dont really add in a bunch of crap, so there is no 'rule' against weed or smoking it. probably more so one that says you CAN.

Muslims and Jews are not the same, nor do they read the same 'bible' Muslims seem to add in a lot more to their bible then was there before, and different sects have different rules.
