|  Ahh good shit. I listen to a Majority of those bands too. You should listen to Unearth. They are very good. My top 4 Favorite bands are Unearth, Darkest Hour, Killswitch Engage, and At The Gates. |

| I have heard those bands and have seen killswitch in concert. Unfortunately I am not really into Metalcore to much and I really dislike unearth with a passion. For me every song sounds the same. Same intro and almost same variation of sweep picking every time. Check out Inflames they have some good stuff. I am more into thrash metal, with a few dashes of death metal here and there.

You think your better than us because you might listen to something more brutal (although admittedly that is unlikely considering my musical tastes) or more 'metal'? Please, gimme a break. Metal isn't about belittling other peoples choices its about expressing yourself through the raw shred and brutality of the music, not dissin' on others -- I hate when people do that.

| Hey spiral what you thing about this? one of the older songs. Guitar world said that mastodon is one of the most creative bands out there right now (regardless of genre). For those who haven't heard them def check them out. They are my favorites. |

| Mastodon is playing at the Bonarroo festival in Tennessee. I wanted to go so bad since it is a 8 hour drive from here. Summer school prevented that.  Last night I met this guy through a friend of mine, and we went to get some regular mids from him since I don't have a true connect yet because of the move. Well anyway, we are chilling smoking a blunt and he takes out some bud and lets me smell it. I check it out and I must say the bud is extremely nice smelling. The guy asks me "would you believe me if I told you that this was some homegrown stuff?". I said "Of course I would believe you, this stuff is nice". So he packs a bowl of it in his bong and lets me get the first hit, needless to say I was stoned out of my mind in about 10 minutes. He then tells me there will be plenty more where that come from shortly.  Sorry I just had to share that story. |
