| I could've sworn I posted in here... odd. Anyways, I don't think Meshuggah is the heaviest band ever. Far from it infact. However, I am a big Meshuggah fan. Their latest offering, ObZen blows my mind -- and then some. I just can't get over this album. It's amazing, I suggest everyone get it! ![]() I just got a few new metal albums that I am really appreciating, here they are -- all coming highly recommended from a very critical metalhead; THE BARONESS - RED ALBUM It's beautiful. This is one of those albums you have to listen from the start to finish to fully appreciate. Thats not to say its one giant orchestrated piece, but it's a well established piece of metal -- and not too brutal, yet accessible for everyone. Favorite Track : The Birthing ![]() THE OCEAN - PRECAMBRIAN I have always been told to check out this metal band, but I somehow just never got around to it. Well after reading an article on these guys in Metal Maniacs of this month, I decided to pick it up. I was pleasantly surprised. The album has amazing production, and it just continues to stay fresh even to the last song - it's really diverse yet continuously kickass. I sense so many elements of so many bands I appreciate, a good medley of sound. Favorite track : Stenian ![]() NEAERA - ARMAMENTARIUM If your a fan of In Flames, Dark Tranquility or any melodeath band, I suggest you check these guys out. They have been around for a bit and I have all of their albums, but just recently got this one -- these guys really shred. My head totally bobs and whindmills to this album. Favorite track : Tools of Greed ![]() If anyone picks these up, let me know what you think. I'm always down checking out your music suggestions too! ![]()
