I live in Australia, any worthwhile bands from overseas only show up every now and then. Most bands only come here once every 3-5 years, if you're lucky, and when they do. You're usually looking at at least a $60 ticket (about $58 USD).

Hey everyone, haven't been on in a while cos I've no longer got broadband, and this site ran slow enough on that for me (I'm in a far off land).
I fucken loooooove my brutal death metal. I've got Icon by benighted. Its not bad. If you're into Brutal Death I seriously recommend the following:
Devourment - 1.3.8
Abominable Putridity - In The End Of Human Existence
Wormed - Planisphaerium (not sure if I got that spelling right, but check out Encyclopaedia Metallum: The Metal Archives, it can tell you)
Edit: Also might be going to see Studioforce again in October, they sucked the last time they came to Sydney, but I really want to see them again in the hopes that they'll kick arse this time around.

I love bands from all sorts of genres and sub genres of metal. I basicly like all types, although id have to sayly, on quite a high scale preferance id rather listen to death, black, thrash, melodic death metal and sometime nu. my favourite band has always been slipknot despite what anyone says about them, and probly will. But since they released Vol.3 they are reeeeally gay. i like theyre reeeeeeeally old stuff, like crowz and mfkr, then self titled and iowa. but a few bands I like. Aborted, Surrounded By Disgust, Stampin 'Ground, Vader, Zyklon, Dew Scented, 1349, Exodus, Skinless, Revolting Breed, Prositute Disfigurement, Aeon, Killing Mode, Cannibal Corpse, Six Feet Under, Torture Killer, Old Mans Child, Emperor, Marduk, Dimmu Borgir, Burzum, Mayhem, Belphegor, Immortal, Krisiun, Dying Fetus, Municipal Waste, Slayer, Bonded By Blood, Evile, Destruction, Desercration, Nothingface, Mushroomhead, Coal Chamber, DevilDriver, Finntroll, God Forbid, Lamb Of God, Soilwork, Killswitch Engage... so so so many, could go on for so long.

And sorry if thats really uninteresting which is probly is.. im just really stoned but cant get to sleep cos I have insomnia and chatting shit

good to know i think my favourite metal album of all time would be self titled by slipknot. Cos that was just, the openin on metal for me, back in the day. So many memories and emotions, haha you get it out of music you know what I mean? Ive always thought that album, always stuck by em as well X) but Im not a little gay ten year old with sketchy black make up on like, saying MAGGOT FOR LIFE!!! IF YOU DONT LIKZ SLIPKNOT YOUR A FAG! haha

Yeah, I use to LOVE Slipknots S/T. It was the album of 8th grade for me! Their new CD is alright, it's a lot better than Vol. 3

And I think, for now, until I think of something else, my favorite metal albums are either From Mars to Sirius by Gojira or Theogonia by Rotting Christ.

yeah its much better then vol.3 and his vocals seem to improved a biiiit. but I dunno man, its like they kind of lied. they say theyre evolving and all that shit, and if you cant let a band evolve you obviously dont ilike them, but i just think its fuckin conforming you know? but theyre new album has got some pretty good songs. rotting christ! greek band? soooo good

If you like them check out Septic Flesh. They are on the same label (French label, Season of Mist) and are symphonic-influenced death metal band from Athens, Greece. Their newest CD is kickass. Sunlight Moonlight is prolly my favorite track on the album.
