Anyone ever heard of this band? Its heavier than my tastes usually run, but its basically a parody of bands like Cannabil Corpse and whatnot, with lyrics about weed. I haven't given it much of a listen, but thought it might interest some people here....So, if you like weed, metal, and "cookie monster" vocals, hunt this album down!!!

Checked 'em out. Never thought I'd hear a stoner death metal band. Music ain't bad, and it's cool how they still have death metal style lyrics even with the weed content. They have a track called "Mummified in Bongwater" that rules

As far as Cannabis Corpse goes they are pretty good. Here is their Myspace if anyone is interested.

I really have a hard time liking parody bands (the band they are parodying is the prolific Cannibal Corpse) but Cannabis Corpse isn't bad. The musicianship is their, it's just when I listen to them I always ask myself, couldn't I be listening to Cannibal Corpse, the real deal, right now? In good faith they do give all their credit to Cannibal Corpse though and the weed aspect is pretty fun, especially in metal music.

Thats cool you bring them up Troublemaker_42, I know your not keen on the metal. Dank Perception (I'm not sure if he posts anymore) originally turned me onto Cannabis Corpse a long time ago.

If your looking for other stoner metal bands, here are a few suggestions;

High on Fire -- They are Stoner sludge metal. Check out their newest album, Death is this Communion or their album Blessed Black Wings.

Weedeater -- Their newest album God Luck and Good Speed is fucking killer, get that shit if you want a Black Sabbath head throbbing stoner shred fest.

I'm trying hard to think of others, but I'll have to go through my library and remember. Electric Wizard is Stoner metal, but they don't talk about weed so much...

Don't forget Electric Wizard and Sleep, Spiral. two of the greatest stoner metal bands, and all of their songs are about Weed or Satan.

Hellyeah I was just listening to cannabis corpse. Not too many people know about them, but they are a riot! Their new albums is balls! NICE! I recall trying to get spiral into them one time haha.

I like how the band still has a municipal waste sound to the band. It makes it that different. You guys should check out municipal waste for some speed/death/thrash metal. It's stoner metal/alcoholic metal, done by some of the cannabis corpse guys.
