I thought I would let everyone know that this months special edition of Revolver Magazine is completely dedicated to Tool.

If you are as much as a fan as myself, pick this up. Tool has been an integral part of me growing up; physically, emotionally and spiritually. Easily, my favorite band of all time.

Here is a link to the website to order it online, otherwise you can most likely pick it up at a local newsstand within a few days (It was released the 6th I believe)
I was going to order it off the site, but shipping was twice as much as the magazine, so I figured I'll wait until Alaskan newsstands decide to restock, whenever that is, to buy it.

Has anyone picked it up? What did you think?

I read online the mag was really well made, and contained a lot of information most don't know. I am stoked, and very pleased they dedicated an edition to one of the greatest rock bands of our generation.

Sounds interesting. Like you, I've grown up listening to Tool, so this is exciting.

You don't need everything free. Go out and show your support for the band and buy the magazine please. If you are so excited and respect Tools music as well as Revolver, having dedicated an edition to them, show some appreciation!

Of coarse I'm going to buy it! But regardless of that I would still love to see it on demonoid, in case I ever ruin the mag or am too couchlocked to get up and grab the mag

So I picked up my edition a few days ago and have been casually reading it. I've read almost the whole thing and I really enjoy it, they don't hype up the band too much but they give them due respect. The interviews are great.

ONE thing however, it pisses me off to NO end...

I see the mag on the shelf at the store so I walk over to buy it and immediately open it up to scope it out. The first thing I see is an advertisement for PETA.... Ok, that's really lame, Tools message doesn't condone PETA or their believes, infact they are almost diametrically opposed (Life feeds on life feeds on life feeds on life anyone? there is even a section in the magazine I will quote here )

but to top it off, and further the point it how asinine a PETA ad is in a Tool magazine -- you turn 2 more pages and their is a recent picture of the band in a fucking butcher shop!!! A cow carcass is hanging from the ceiling. Skulls line the walls and slabs of meat dangle. They are wearing bloody smocks and Danny is holding the head of a dead sheep. Badass.

Truth be told, I won't buy this edition, or any other, of revolver, for the simple reason they accecpt advertising from PETA. I used to oiccasionally grab a copy if someone I admired was featured, but never again, unless they renounce their affiliation for with PETA. I cannot support, in any way, a group completely opposed to everything I love in life....my ranch, hunting, fishing, etc. I'd like to read the articles and interviews, so I may download it, but I REFUSE to pay for attacks on my entire lifestyle. That being said, Tool kicks ass, and I'm glad to see them getting attention aside from the hype around album release time

Yeah. I hear ya TM. It really pissed me the fuck off and I agree with you on PETA, terrible organization, I wish I could rip it out but its on the backside of the cover. Even if I knew the ad existed, I'd still buy it. An online copy doesn't do justice, and quite frankly I don't really care that much -- Peta makes the same amount off the ad (and pays the same) regardless if the copy is in my lap or in a warehouse.

Really though, I'm sure Revolver accepted the money and laughed at them, just like every person who picked up the mag and saw the ridiculous ad. Then just a page away is Tool inside of a grotesque gory butchershop. Intentional irony at its finest

Is it in the online scan? If not I will get it up here after work for all to enjoy
