Has anyone ever checked out this site? It's great you can listen to basically any song you want without downloading them onto your computer. You can also create an account where you can make and store playlists on the site...I'm done using limewire, I can never find what I want and it seems like there's a lot of viruses on there.

Just giving a heads up to all the music lovers in here....

Dude, check out imeem.com, it's the same concept as the site you mentioned, just ALOT more music, even stuff that's real hard to find

You're right though, these sites are great for like finding new music, sending songs to friends, or you just wanna jam to a song and don't feel like downloading.

As far as downloading, p2p pretty much sucks balls nowadays, not even worth trying to get stuff off any of those programs. Private torrent sites are the way to go.

i advise against downloading from imeem.com like somebody was talking about, i got viruses.

I mean it's good because it has a lot of music on there...but all the music is lower quality than what you would download or hear on a cd.

Yeah, of course it doesn't substitute for actually having the music on your hard drive to do whatever you want with it, but it's pretty hard for most people to download music without viruses/shitty quality nowadays.

I guess I'm one of the few here that use What.CD? It's a "private" torrent site with a TON of music on it. Seriously, you can find anything from the most underground stuff, to the latest music on there. Best of all is the quality of the music on there. If it's below 192kb in mp3 format, it's not even allowed to be uploaded. So you can usually get albums in different formats ranging from 192 to lossless.All you have to do is maintain a certain ratio, meaning you need to leave your torrent program open to allow people to seed. Since everyone who uses the site is seeding everything they've downloaded, the speeds are always good.

It's not really THAT hard to get in, just need to either ask around or know someone who is a "power user" on that site. I don't have any invites, because I don't meet the required amount uploaded to have that privilege, yet.
