Is it a coincidence that “Cana” in Galilee is half of the name of a plant that brings peace and serenity to the world? Or – that Jesus used to preach from high on the hills in Galilee about the monumental need for peace and compassion amongst men. While high atop his mountain, Jesus was also found of warning us about the commandments of men and their propensity for self-serving laws.
Matthew 15:8 –‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain their teachings are but rules taught by men. Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand. What goes into a man’s mouth does not make him ‘unclean,’ but what comes out of his mouth, that is what makes him ‘unclean.”
There have been many astounding events connected with the richly cultivated hills of Galilee … and at Tikun Olam in northern Israeli — the genetic manipulation of marijuana’s cannabinoids is the newest addition.
Upon the hallowed ground where Jesus did most of his philosophical contemplation, we now find a medical marijuana plantation which allowed researchers to develop a specific strain of marijuana that can be used to circumvent many of today’s human ailments, minus the end result of the person also getting high.
As a hint of the pungent-smelling flowers transmits terpene’s wafting through the air — The massive marijuana plantation, cultivated from seedlings — Sits hidden from preying eyes, behind colossal screens and developed for scientific research… ready to help the world.
As many marijuana patients already know, marijuana contains a cluster of over 80 cannabinoids each containing valuable properties that can to help alleviate numerous ailments in the human body. Of all of the cannabinoids, THC is by far the best known and most popular. Less so for its medicinal affects and more for the elevated psychoactive properties which provide the recreational marijuana user the feeling of being high.
That being said marijuana also contains cannabidiol or CBD. CBD is the substance for which many researchers claim to have benefits in anti-inflammatory skeletal issues. As THC binds to the brains receptor causing the elevated affect known as being “stoned.” Conversely – the CBD cannabinoid does not bind to a brains receptor thereby allowing the medicated effect, minus the elevated feeling.
Tikun Olam began its research on CBD enhanced cannabis in 2009 and about six months ago they came up with Avidekel, Klein said, a cannabis strain that contains 15.8 percent CBD and only traces of THC, less than one percent. [source]
