Republican Assemblyman Steve Katz did his job well, shooting down any pro-marijuana bills or rhetoric while perpetuating prohibition. Around the office, he was known for drawing a hard line in the sand. On his way to the state office, Steve Katz enjoyed a puff of marijuana smoke along with his daily bagels and lox to calm those pre-meeting nerves.
Westchester County Republican Assemblyman Steve Katz was pulled over yesterday morning for speeding and hit with a possession charge when an officer recognized the distinct smell of marijuana. “He was alone and cooperative,” said the police, who ticketed him for a small baggie and going 80 in a 65 mph zone. Katz was oddly arrested twice for allegedly mishandling dogs when he worked as a veterinarian, but both cases were dismissed. Last year, he voted against legalizing medical marijuana*, although maybe this will be his Portman moment. The assemblyman sits on Assembly committees for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, as well as Higher Education. [NY Mag]
Steve Katz: a sad tale of when keeping it real goes wrong. And an utter example of the hypocritical farce that is the government’s marijuana policies and prohibition as a whole.
(Karma is a bitch)

What a political fuck stick!
I say give all elected officials random drug tests. That would end prohibition real quick.
