he's just there to take votes away from democrats because the republicans are fielding a weak candidate this year.

plus, he's been funded by GOP donors in the past:

GOP donors funding Nader / Bush supporters give independent's bid a financial lift

if an intelligent, well spoken politician like ron paul can't get people excited and out there voting (well...enough to make a difference)...then how is ralph nader going to do it??

That may be true but he's no moron. Now if you called the other three (McCain, Clinton, and Obama) morons, I'm not sure you'd get much of an arguement from me.

He stood in the way of some real political change in 2000 and 2004. He knew he was standing in the way of that change while he was doing it, and he continued to do so anyway.

To me, that makes him a moron.

In 2000, he was following his dreams. In 2004 he was following his delusions.

this is america, 1984. if you're part of the political process, it's because you're drunk with power or are on the take. with nader, it's obviously the latter.

I'm not taking anything away from his past. he's said and done some great things. I lost all respect for him in 2000. he went negative in 04. now I just wonder how much more money he wants.

The man isn't in it for the money. If he wanted money, he would just take his Harvard Law degree and go into private practice.
I respect the man but he was a spoiler in 2000. In 2004 John Kerry fucked himself. Now there was a moron.

I like nader for what he represents... opposition to the 2 headed party monster it is now so if he spoils them but can recruit real qualified independents for future candidates so all can be heard and not just the mega funded and or rich ones then i say spoil away.
i dont expect him to win but it gives me a chance to go on record against what i believe to be a corrupt system. the way it is now anytime one party does wrong they just blame the other
it would be nice to have one administration to hold accountable for screw ups
the division these partys have caused in this country is nuts people are so devoted to the partys that when mistakes happen they rarely get corrected because of devotion to their party
but I truly believe that an independent will never be president because the partys have to much control and will never allow it.
i am just sick of being told that i dont count as an american because i refuse to join one of two rival gangs.
so far nader is the most qualified i have seen but i a lot more research to do
any other legitimate candidates i should look at that dont belong to popular 2 party system?
