Oh I know. Both sides are evil for one reason or another.
When I was in school most of the girls were just vapid, self centered sluts who would pick the guys that neglected them and were kind of mean to them, and all the while whinge and whine about how they couldn't find a nice guy and just hold all the nice guys at arms length in whats popularly known as "the friend zone". So I reached a point where I just said to myself, "You know what? Fuck it, I'm tired of being complained to about other guys. I'm going to be one of those guys that chicks complain about." Or at least I did for a while. Then just decided that I was going to meet the problem on my own terms.
And the rest, as they say, is history. These days I'm typically a little bit of a cocky prick, kind of arrogant, and don't take any of the typical female bullshit that I was accustomed to in my teen years. I still treat guys normally but, and girls I don't want to smash.

Back in school I was about as big a "Player" as you could be...didn't make a move without a new girl on my arm or in my bed. Ran through a string of 'em right up to graduation. Sure i had a few girlfriends here and there, and for tha most part I was a 'nice' guy that treated them well and didn't cheat on most of 'em (i've had my flaws and more than a few wild parties), but it was all about tha sex. Every time. Even when I thought it was love, it wasn't

My wife was 15 when I met her and 16 when she got pregnant. That was 10 years and three kids ago. She was DEFINITELY in highschool at that time, even though I wasn't, and our relationship was based on a friendship first. I remember thinking "Damn, I hope we don't break up because then we wouldn't be able to kick it with each other as friends anymore". That would be how I'd sum up my success in marriage and love...you gotta like a girl as a friend, and cherish her as such, WAY before you get down. Which takes effort and patience. Which are two things that kids don't like to do....wait and work, especially when there is a quick and free button just inside tha door of every club and bar in america.

i started out being friends with the girl i used to like and then i asked her out and she said yes...then about a week later i popped 4 vicodin before school with a buddy of mine...and then we smoked a few bowls...she found out and said she never wanted to talk to me again...and now she says she will not date me because of my obsession with drugs...thats BS if you ask me...

keep your head up. i'm a virgin still at 22. I thought the same as you did when I was in highschool. the girl i loved back then broke my heart but I had to learn that lesson. I think that people jump into sex too early, but that's okay. let them. unless you're jealous at some level, and then maybe give it a try and see what it's about.

yeah..i was extremely jealous at first but now i dont care...we're still good friends..but thats it...the girl i like now at least respects the majority of the substances that i use/abuse..so its all good in that department...

Although I agree with you. Its not just kids that do it. In fact, I've seen way more adults have casual flings and one night stands than teenagers/etc.
Relationships aren't for everybody in my opinion. Or more to the point, not at every point in a person's life anyway. Sometimes people are just really jaded by the opposite sex and don't want all the baggage and strings that come attached to a relationship, some people have a hard time settling down, and some people are just horny and want to fuck everything in sight. :P
Other than that in terms of finding love I don't think we have much say in when it takes hold and who its with. I think its more of an instinctive or emotional reaction to how a person makes you feel. You could be going steady with someone for a while like you did and still find out that you don't love them, and you could barely know someone and be head over heels for them. Sure, the latter situation is a little more irrational, and arguably more risky/dangerous, but it happens to people all the time.

Oh you totally hit that nail bro. I didn't mean to leave tha impression that only kids were doing shit like that...just seemed more relevant to tha topic discussing highschoolers. I know more than enough guys that just gotta get that dick wet no matter what, and a bunch of 'em are married! Makes me work hard to be a better parent, don't want my kids acting a damn fool like that.

Hydro - bro, I've had many friends that hooked up with girls that were PERFECT.....except they didn't like that their man smoked pot or whatnot. Sure, I can understand that there is a time for an intervention, but tokin out on tha weekends or poppin a pill here and there should NOT be a cause for one. If it's occupational drug use, get rid of 'em...but if it's RECREATIONAL use then there should be no problem. Difficulty with that is, sometimes you just end up with a girl that wants to change you "for tha better". Could be your weight, style, drug usage, hair color, anything.

Yeah, I know you weren't trying to say its only kids that do it. I was just throwing that out there to help get a better understanding of the bigger picture, not that Hydro was in any risk at all of not getting it.
As for the women who try to change men. Those are the worst possible ones to kowtow to as well. If someones helping you through shit, sure, thats great. But if someones just trying to control you. Fuck that for a game of darts.
I'm of the mind that its better to be completely despised for what you truly are, than loved for something you're not.

yeah i rarely do any other drugs besides MJ...ill do a few lines here and there..or pop a couple pills from time to time....but it hasn't escalated to the point where i am this huge drug addict...like everyone in my high school(not just her) makes it out to be...like i am some outcast...no thats not what i am...i am just your average stoner...and if i want to smoke a few bowls or do something else for the experience then i will do it...i shouldn't have to change for a girl to like me....because then well they dont like ME...they like soemone totally different...

Don't you just love school and their "drug education" programs?
We're on a pot forum here, so lets be honest. Drug education isn't just drug education. Its fucking brainwashing. If I'd completely believed everything my school taught me about drugs I'd be one of those fuckwits you're talking about that thinks that everyone whos ever tried drugs or takes drugs, does it initially out of peer pressure, then after that they're just satisfying the addiction. According to the public education system of Australia nobody does drugs just because they love to get high in one form or another.
Teens are already going to be a little rebellious, or at least a little curious, and misinforming them on a large scale is only going to eventually bite the man back in the arse when they find out that its not just how they've been told things are... If that makes any sense.
