| Think about it, people say the sky is blue, so that is blue to you, you have been taught what the names of colors are, so you associate that color with that name. For all we know other people perceave blue as red, or green, or purple, but was toaght that it is called blue. |

| Colors are defined based on mutual agreement. Lol Somebody just came up and decided: "hmmm that thing looks blue. does it look blue to you?" "yeah ide say thats blue" "okay then, its blue. go tell everyone that anything that looks like that is blue." thats my opinion. lol |

| This is an interesting discussion. Personally, I think that the fact that there is no way to prove that we see the same colours differently makes it a completely irrelevant possibility. If I have the same emotional response to the colour of the sky as you do, then really, what's the difference? It's a bit crazy to think about somebody who sees totally fucked up colours instead of normal colours, but obviously these people would think it's quite normal, so... I guess in the end it's just a crazy thought that goes nowhere. Now here's an interesting and (slight) change of topic! Humans are trichromats, which means that we see colour as a combination of three colours (in our case; red, green and blue). Some animals see four different colours. I was reading on wikipedia that there is a possibility that some humans could be natural tetrachromats (four colours), but the evidence seems inconclusive. Quote:

| If I could only tell you how many times I've had the same thought.....from a very young age even... But there is a very, very slim possibility that it is a possibility. I used to also wonder, "What if I have some disease that makes me hear only what I want to hear, and other people are saying completely different things than what I really think they are saying?" The thoughts kind of passed but still from time to time it's nice to ponder.

| This sounds like a discussion that i had with a friend one time, the base of it is, what if what i think i'm typing rite now actually reads as something completely different, same thing applies to the colors. one way this could exist is if everyone inhabited their own reality, making everything in your reality something completely different in some one else's reality. confusing isn't it? I think so, I got confused typing it. Its really weird that i know this stuff... I'm only 13... I surprised myself. |

| i believe that color = color. Say you were taught that the color of this text is black, right? well what about someone that was taught it is negro(black in spanish) well the color is the same but are called two different names. so Black = Black and Negro = Black. My opinion is we all see color as the same no matter what were are taught except for in the case of colorblindness. |

| I’ve had this exact same thought for a couple of years now. We can only prove what is known to us. On a slightly more sinister note, I also used to think (for a very brief time) that I had gone crazy, and the real me is actually sitting in a mental institution, and that I am living in the imagination of the him (myself). I thought that nothing was real, and everything was the fabrication of my own mind. That thought occasionally comes back, but I don't believe it anymore.
