I don't want to have a strict part of the philosophy of apathy to discuss, so I'm going to try to be general. If I'm too broad, or too narrow for your tastes, feel free to chime in anyway, please.

I'm somewhat curious as to what everyone's definition of 'apathetic' is? And, is it a bad thing to be an apathetic person? (trying to be general)

I'd say 'apathetic' would be someone who knows of the problems in the world...but just doesn't care enough to wanna do anything about it.

Example...I realize that pot is illegal, which it shouldn't be. However, instead of speaking out about it publicly (which I do often via this website), I opt to do nothing except grumble in private about our unfair laws!

I'm STILL not a member of NORML, so I guess I'm a bit apathetic to the cause. Bad? I wouldn't say I'm a bad person for not doing more...but I'm a busy guy damn it!

Unfortunately, just being busy isn't my only excuse. Actually, I was just trying to be cute. I just had to give up my internet connect at home 'cause of money problems, and we cut our weed consumption considerably lately...so joining NORML is far down on my list of to-do's atm.

I haven't had a credit card in over 30 years!
