Howdy all, well me and someone else were smoking about a week ago when he said something about God getting high. Usually I would just brush this off and laugh, but I actually sat back and went into deep thought.

I am somewhat of a agnostic, but still entertain the idea a god exist. But I went to Catholic school for 8 years so I know me some God and Jesus(beleive me...) I mean if I was an all high being such as God, or a god I would be getting high all the time. Especially if your idea of god is the Catholic or Christian one being that he listens and watches over all creation up in Heaven. I dunno just kinda broke my brain thinking about it, so I decided to pose the quoestion to my fellow pothead or "potefficiandos" . Does God get high?

Oh and please no one take offense or this the wrong way it is all in good fun and im not trying to start a feud just from this in my opionion crazy thought.

well...He might. I also consider myself agnostic, like you i entertain the idea that A god might exist, or some sort of higher being, yet i dont believe in any of the specifics that all religions ive studied go into, or like atheism i dont believe that a higher power doesnt exist at all. With that said, i feel like god probably enjoys all things that he or she or it created, however if god really is almighty god, god could just go, "oh, i want eating a banana to get me high just like weed does" or "I want Apples to contain THC, and it doesnt even have to be heated up to work" OR, god could just say "BAM, i am now high! i just flooded my system with thc, and i will not die for i am god!"


For me, i feel like god wouldnt really care one way or another, he may smoke his creation occasionaly, but i think that marijuana really does not matter to god.

The creator doesn't need to get 'high', the creators state of consciousness is beyond any of our comprehension and certainly above anything a psychotropic drug could induce.

exactly my thoughts. Hes out of our time and thought. beyond it all. to get high and open His mind would just show weakness. i think we have this herb because were imperfect and we need to understand things better that we have the inability to understand. so i guess in a way but technically not- God is always high. but not really .

I think there are other things out there we don't know about that are way more enjoyable then marijuana.

But if God did smoke i'd ask him for a few seeds of what he was growing!

I wasn't necessarily saying God were to smoke a fat ass primo blunt, im saying does God get high by whatever means. I mean yeah he could literally think it and get high and since god has every drug at his hands he could replicate any of those feelings (stoned, tripping, rollin, drunk what have you).

Something all-knowing, all-being, all-powerful wouldn't need to experience inebriation because he is all, he is one, every emotion, every thought, every possible feeling he experiences constantly.

i consider my self a rasta, and think jah smokes the herb b/c he created the herb. even if you hold true to the view that the "devil" created it because its a "drug", jah still creates evil.
