Love is love. Love can not be bought or sold. Love is what we lack the most as human beings. Love is a rare sight now adays around the world. One act of kindness, is just the same as one act of love. There shouldn't be a definition for love. Because love is not confined to anything. If love was as rampant as war..., Imagine the possibilitys. Isn't that one of the biggest topics that Bob Marley loved to speak about? People like Bob Marley they touch us with their musical expression because we can relate to that. And who wouldn't want to relate with love. Love is the one thing that humans desire the most, it's better than gold and money. It's what completes you. It's amazing that Love is one of the most hardest things to just say or give away to someone. But love is not found in Sex or in a residual image portrayed on our outward body appearance. Love is what we are naturally born with. I believe when your born you have all the love in the world in your heart. Then slowly as you grow older that adolescent love starts to disapear as your exposed to this world of brain washed commercialism and love for the outward appearance rather than love for the inner human being. So like I said dont try and put a definition on love...., because really in reality we all know what love is..., we've all felt it in one way or another. It's not a defintion we are looking for..., it's a way to attain it. But you already do attain it. It's there, it's always there, it's our job to accept that we actually have it in us, Just let LOVE RULE!!!!

Love is when someone makes you happy, makes you feel good about who you are. It makes you feel like you are needed by someone, which makes you feel you actually do have a purpose being here.

Love can be the most confusing of feelings, but is the best of them all.

I'm lucky I havent lost someone I really am close to and love since I've been too little to remember. Whether it be by death or a breakup, or whatever. I'm so scared tho, of how bad it will be. It's like there's a few people in everyone's life that their lives just wouldnt be the same without. It's so scary, I get so upset just thinking about it.

I suppose I should just be thankful for what I have now, and enjoy it.

Well, since I'm in my 26 th year of a happy, healthy, and faithful marriage, I think I'll take the lead and express my opinion on the subject.

Love actualy is the bioproduct of Lust.
First you lust (you want to get laid) the female, then two things can happen, or you Hate their guts or you Love them.
You are first start feeling "Love" when you feel that you might be loosing your other half.
For some couples Lust can last more than 7-10 years and then, or they love each other for ever, or they are looking for a divorce.

And by the way JV, if I love her, I'll flush that toilet and as soon as she washes that ass, I'll be the first to jump and eat it.

Read this post I made in the thread about friendship, and read this, out of one of my books:

This is by no means an invariable pattern, though; there are species in which the female is eager to mate with many males, and there are species in which the male plays a major, even a primary, role in raising the young. Over 90% of the known species of birds are "monogamous"; so are 12% of the monkeys and apes, to say nothing of all the wolves, jackals, coyotes, foxes, elephants, shrews, beavers, and miniature antelope. However, monogamous doesn't mean sexually exclusive; in many species in which the male helps raise the children and provides care for the mother, he also is sneaking out for a little sex on the side; and she is often receptive to other males. Biologists call it a "mixed mating strategy," or "extra-pair copulation." As much as 40% of the young reared by "monogamous" bird pairs are revealed by DNA fingerprinting to have been sired by extramural encounters, and numbers almost as large may apply to humans. Still, the motif of nurturing females, who are choosy about their sex partners, and males given to sexual adventure and many partners is very widespread, especially among the mammals.

A hard one to meet, always, but it has served me well in my 20 years of marriage.

Can't describe love. When you feel it, you feel it. When you don't, you definetly know that you don't. It's the most wonderful and the most moving force in the universe. It's what causes mothers to lift cars off of children, it's what makes people spend thousands of dollars to keep their wives and their husbands on life support in the hospital in hopes that they might wake up one day, and it's that cute feeling you get when your stomache churns and you feel lost without some other person and you can explain why. THATS LOVE. And It's The Best.

Actually I think adrenaline is what makes a mother or anyone for that matter do something beyond their normal physical capacity, like lifting a car. You hit the nail on the head with the butterfly feeling, but what about unconditional love, where you would die to save your own son's life? It depends on what kind of love we are talking about I guess.
