| We spoke about humans today in our Personal Ethics class (obviously), and more importantly we talked about humans effect on the earth. We're very much like a virus one person shouted. Another took that and said, "Yeah, we make the earth warmer and colder and we use all of its resources without regard for anyone or anything else." Than surprisingly, the only gay kid in the class (he's actually openly gay), said.. "Well.. than that must mean AIDS is the worlds form of white blood cells.." What's your take on this? In my opinion we are very much like a virus to this earth and we need to learn to co-exist with it, not harm it. It's also strange that new viruses that can't be stopped (well, some can) keep popping up around the world.. seems like each time we get rid of something for good, something new comes... evolution at its best. |
