| It was only a few months ago that I began smoking regularly. However, I have begun to experience some intense psychiatric awareness. At certain times when I am high, I begin to start changing perspectives rapidly. I will go from mood to mood, where the atmosphere of the room and my perspective of my surroundings changes. This seems fairly normal to those who smoke, but there is a strange phenomenon that begins to happen that I cannot find a proper explanation for. What starts to happen is, I begin to recognize these different perspectives and moods; they spark memories of times when I experienced those same perspectives. It is as if they have already happened. At first, when I started really recognizing this, I thought I was being reminded of dreams that I previously had. However as it continued to happen it became for of a sense of Deja Vous. This seemed fitting because Deja Vous literally means "I have seen this all before." Now I had to try and figure out why all these moods, atmospheres, and perspectives were so relevant in my mind. I no longer felt like I had dreamed these things, but instead that they had happened before. I distinctly felt that I had definitely not dreamed these feelings before . So, I began to try and figure out why? Where were these things coming from. As I walked through my house at night I had the feeling again, but now as if it had come from a different life than my own. It was extremely familiar, but felt like it had happened in a different home, by a different person, perhaps in a different time. This has happened many times ever since and it keeps getting more intense. Even things that are new to me are seeming familiar in a way. I have a few ideas on what this could be and I ask for help uncovering this mystery to anyone who can relate or thinks they understand. My first explanation is that I did in fact dream these feelings. This is possible since everyone dreams every time we sleep. The only problem is when I recognize new things like a new television show, or a new person. Another is that I am tapping into thoughts of others. I am seeing other people's thoughts and feeling their feelings. Maybe they are nearby or maybe they are far.. Yet another is that I am uncovering what will come. Maybe these are feelings that I will have in the future and I am remembering them. This would mean that we all know our futures, we just need to be reminded of them, or perhaps we need to uncover them in our minds. Next, this could in fact be memories from another life. A past or future life that I have or will live. Finally, I come back to dreams. Maybe I am remembering dreams, but when I dream, I am living a parallel life to my own. This answer is the most interesting to me. Maybe when we dream, we actually are not physically in the same place anymore, but in another place all together. Well, thank you for taking the time to read and I will try to write about other phenomena that occur when I'm high. Please respond if you can relate or have any ideas as to what is occurring in my mind. |

| Sounds to me like you're experiencing extreme nostalgia. As I don't know your personal childhood memories or what houses you've lived in, I can't say for sure. But what I can say is that being high definitely can increase feelings of severe nostalgia. I actually just read a thread yesterday about someone talking about watching cartoons that you watched during your childhood.. stoned. Being high intensifies those feelings you get when watching those cartoons you experienced as a child. My guess would be you are overthinking these "incoming thoughts" and they are just marijuana-induced nostalgia feelings. I have also noticed I can become very emotional when high. Sometimes when I get high and I run into emotional problems it seems to amplify them, so I'm guessing this is the same phenomenon. The simplest explanation for feelings these feelings high is just that marijuana seems to amplify feelings. If you're happy before you smoke you're going to feel way happier. If you're depressed when you smoke you may notice a short increase of mood, but a lot of people also report feelings more depressed after smoking (if they were depressed before)

| I would personally recommend looking into meditation. Also remember: Nothing unreal exists but that does not mean that our perception of it is correct. The things you are experiencing could in fact be your mind playing tricks on you. Then again maybe not. Either way meditation should over a long period of time give you some insight.
