| So I was at my friends house, and we smoked some pretty strong shit. Bout a half hour later, he started reading out of one of his philosophy books by Marcus Aurelius. Then for some reason I started thinking about God and homosexuals lol. Don't remember why, but I started to think that there is no such thing as right and there is no such thing as wrong. A human is not born with morals or virtues; he absorbs it from the society around him. Well what if murder was acceptable in that society, and having respect for your fellow man wasn't? Would we all be sinners in God's eyes? This already exists in a less radical polarity; people all over the world have different values for different things, which aren't the same in another society. Everything we value, everything we love is a product of the society from which we were brought up. If I were brought up in a Muslim household, for example, I would consider my present self a sinner. There is no right, there is no wrong, there is only perception. P.s. I'm still fried. |
