| Why are ONLY humans conscious? I mean, as far as we know, we're the only ones, but think about it. Every single living breathing "animal" reacts out of instinct, and while they can be trained, and can also react to "sex", they're never really percepting, thinking, and basing their actions off of emotions like we do. Example: Guys like the feeling of sex, so they get laid, but don't actually want to reproduce. Birds, dogs, rats, and practically every other animal likes to fuck too. BUT- they do it on an instinctual and reproductive level, not because it feels good. Why are we the only ones? Size definitely has nothing to do with it, or there would conscious giraffes, bears, and sharks. What is it about OUR brain and our brain only that allows us to look at life with a choice instead of JUST instincts?? PS: One more thought: People choose their persona and personality (hippie, stoner, businessman), but imagine if animals could do that too? We'd have stoner dogs, hippie cats and methhead rats roaming the streets haha.
