Pretty baked right now and I just read

" Consciousness is the result of a chemical balance in the brain and thus creates our perception of "reality" (whatever "reality" really is). Drugs such as cannabis alter this chemical balance resulting in an altered perception of reality. This makes me think. What if consciousness itself is really a drug trip? What if everything we experience is not really real, but rather just what our current chemical state of mind allows us to perceive? What if drugs actually allow us to bypass the "perception filter" of consciousness thus allowing us to experience other realities equally valid as our normal conscious reality? What if life and reality itself is one big drug trip?
I myself believe that life is one big drug trip. Emotions strongly contribute to the foundations of our reality and have been scientifically shown to be the result of chemical activity in the brain... that is they are caused by drugs. Why can't this be the same for everything else?"


This pretty much blew my mind and I can't stop thinking about it. Very interesting theory, I like this more than all current mainstream religions put together.

More people should read it, leave a comment on ur thoughts/ideas.

I think it is like this, but still. Since no one has really ever experienced the "real deal", we cant really say that the "drug trip" is not the reality. And if its not how do we know that the actual reality isnt an drug trip? And that the drug trip where experiencing isnt the real deal?

Or maybe i misunderstood, maybe u meant that EVERYTHING is a drug trip. That there is no "reality".

I have also thought this before, this philosiphy I've been having recently has only come from smoking marijuana, not during, but after the experience for some reason, whether it be weeks or months after, anyway, about the post, this is a very interesting way of looking at things, when I think about it-it just blows my mind that it is hardly ever conceived and yet it is the basis for all of our actions, our reality, I sometimes think of myself as an infidecimal partical, my soul, this soul has everything radiate around it, reality, the brain is simply the mechanism used to filter all of this information, but the soul is the thing that actually receives it and interprets it, thus why you can't operate a body after it is dead, it requires a soul to go on, or at least how I believe it to be, someone might prove me very wrong about that, I think that every reality we see is valid, including our imagination, I think that the imagination is a form of reality that only we can see, thus we can alter it and our power over our imagination is minimal, hence why it is not always clear what we create and not so similar to reality, we cannot feel in our imaginations, we can't create smells, we can't use physics that make complete sense, our reality is one that overlaps with everyone else and why I believe it is so strong and concrete, and drugs distort this reality, creating our own in which we can feel, smell, see, touch and even taste, it's just that nobody else can see it.
