A profound dream - Page 2

then i was a man walking in the forest, i sat at the tree, the only one thriving in the decaying forest. for two hours i sat at the tree *extremely long amounts of time are also usually present in my dreams, like usual there was no thought process happening, the dream simply stopped progressing yyet at the same time it was moving forward*

after a great deal of time the top half of my eyes grew dark, a brownish orange tinge of colour corrupted parts of my vision, focusing on the tinge the world i perceived was filtered. the orange tinge revealed the tree to be a man of all ethnicities debate with himself every world issue, then laughing and eating large amounts of money and drinking from a bottle labelled "human tears and sorrow".

the tinge revealed the dying forest to be me, yet each person looked nothing like me, i cant even say they were people. they were twisted, almost like they were human at one time but something was changing or had changed them.

then the tinge left me, a small child carrying a knife walked. he left footprints of hatred, and filled the air with the scent of memories. he spoke to me through visual patterns scrawled in the air in a gothic looking pencil art form of some sort. he gave me an apple, it tasted like hatred and felt very viscous.

the child finally revealed one clear thing to me: upon every raven rests a seed of discontempt. but we are not to be bothered by the text, only those who see the breath of the distasteful martyr will dictate the day upon which the world will burn to cinders, and become one less and twice more over.

then i woke up.....

if anyone cares to try to decpher any of this i would greately appreciate it

Alright, this is quite a lot to imagine, and it'd sure as hell be a lot easier to decipher if I'd had the dream, but I'll do my best, your views appear to be widespread on society and how it is at the moment, the forest seems to me to be everyone, and they're twisted humans because they've gone into the rat-race of life, not really achieving anything worthwhile, just keeping routine and becoming twisted in this fashion, straying from the way humans are supposed to be.

The kid with a knife is strange, normally children are a portrayal of innocence, and seeing as how he is carrying a knife, this shows that there is clearly something not normal about him or this innocence, it has become corrupted somehow... perhaps referring to the short life of humanity, and how is has become corrupted from it's (Relative) short life with respect to the age of the entire universe through straying from the natural way life should be lived.

The last paragraph is a bit confusing, but here's what I got out of it - Upon every raven rests a seed of discontempt, I assume you mean discontent, from your signature I can see you're a lover of the easy life, relaxing, concentrating on not letting the world's problems get you down, so this discontent interests me, that you feel society lets too many problems hurt them, thus making them discontent and unhappy with the world that we should logically be happy throughout our entire life as we are given all the tools to be happy, just that we decide not to be, which leads me on to the martyr.

A martyr is someone who suffers under principle, in that we all in life suffer on purpose to keep our principle that everyone should put in their fair share, whether it makes us happy or not, and in this way it could be distasteful, in that you think this is the wrong way to be a martyr from your views. Your synethesia makes me think that the "Breath" from this martyr is just simply the voice, and to see it is simply to hear it, so anybody who listens to this misguided martyr or distasteful one will ultimately decide when the world will end, or "Burn to cinders" because they themselves, as they listen to them when they don't know the right way to live, will destroy it over time.

The last part confuses me just because I don't know what you're referring to, is it the world that has been burnt to cinders or is it the people that can see the martyr's voice? Either way I don't really have any answers or ideas for that, the only thing I can think of is the integer -1, when you get one less of it, you also double it, fitting with the "Become one less AND twice more over", implying it does it at the same time.

Hope that helped with at least some of it, if it makes no sense, then clearly I can't decipher stuff very well at 4am :P

whoa, that really does help, good deductions about my signature to, i do love the easy life. you sound like you would have a great career in the field of dream psychology or something. thanks

From what I read, it seems that you see the truth of things while everyone around you fails to see it. You live to prove, and the distaste that the child gave you is your biggest fear, the fear that truth will never be seen. Yet you see it as the truth, other people look down upon it. The child must represent the future that you feel that you will hold. I think your dream shows that the majority of us are fooling ourselves, and it proves the unnatural mental properties of human nature.

hahaha thats the thing. doctors dont know a whole lot about it.
they describe it as a....fragmentation of the mind...psh
but they say theres no getting rid of it, you can only suppress it...with fish oil...bwahahaha...seriously!...
i think i may have it. nobody else knows besides me though, ive always known i was a tad bit off though lol.
