| well, if its any better, I'm 27 and an wondering how many people we're gonna get for tomorrow's whiffle ball game. In 3 years, I'm gonna be 30. The 1st wave of my friends are getting married. A few of my friends are on their second or third kids. I still play with my old band that got started when I was 19. We all still tend to meet at Dunkin Donuts, just like 10-15 years ago. I still watch the Simpsons religiously. I still see about 20-30 concerts a year, just like when I was 17 (Eric Johnson was AWESOME the other night, as was Velvet Revolver tonight). I still fight with my older brother every few weeks. I get the same magical feeling when entering Fenway Park as I did the first time I was ever there, about 20 years ago. Quote:
What worked for me (after years of trying) was to stop thinking about how I should be feeling, and start thinking about what I want to be doing. If you set goals for yourself, they can also change dramaticly as time goes on, but will usually help drive your whole "self" forward in the process. Setting ideals about how you "should" feel, think or be are usually fatally flawed by the fact that everything you do, see, feel, think can change how you feel about yourself. Shooting for positive, concrete goals about where you want to be/what you want to do in a few years will only help you learn more about yourself, even if the goal is no more complicated than getting to class on time every Monday. Keep your goals moving forward, and always keep them positive and forward-thinking, and you will continue to learn, grow, and improve your self-esteem. After that, you may very well find that how you feel and what you think ultimately surpasses anything that you felt you should be thinking and feeling about yourself. | |

| Ageing is just about experience and learning don't look at it as if there's something to be expected out of you. |

| I am 19 and yes i know exactly what u mean. Like, back when we were 10 years old we thought of 21 as a much more grown up age than it actually is going to be. I will still do the same **** I've done up to this point, only I figure I'll just incorporate gambling and going to bars into my life schedule. |

| I think im going to write a song kinda like "I want to die before i get old", im gonna write, "I want to die before i crap myself" ![]() Life is the strive for experience, for memories (and for loosing memories sometimes, hehe), for love, for hate, and for feeling. I'm 19, but maturity, as far as action, is just now setting in. Half your life isn't just gone, you've still got it in your heart. You will always have your memories and your feelings, and the more you have the better person you will be. -Sniff- I think im gonna chief a bowl. Here's to life! Cheers

| lol im pretty scared of life passing me by. In 2 years ill get my drivers licence, and i cant help but think how much of a crappy driver ill be. i ow have to worry about getting jobs, conserving my weed, and being a more responsible person. but this is how ive worked it out in the past. LET THINGS COME, DONT WORRY ABOUT THE FUTURE, LEARN FROM THE PAST.

| I mean I'm only 18 and I've been across half of the U.S. (surfing in Cali. swimming and scuba diving with dolfins and sharks in Fla. and all that) I've been backpacking across England, Scotland, Whales, France, and I'm going to the Netherlands, back to France, the Czech Republic, Ireland, and then down to Costa Rica this fall. Ya know, no matter how much you live life you will always feel like you should have done more. My friends always tell me how great my life is and that they wish they could do so much and I just say, then do it man, do what I do, get a job, save for 8 months and spend the other 4 doing whatever. But even with all that I do I still feel the way that you do man, just accept the fact that due to the fact that there is so much to do in this word that you will always want to do more. Just do what you can, and make damn sure you have so much fun doing it that the people you meet along the way will always remember you. Trust me, do that and there will be no regrets, after all, life is to short to have even one, that's my moto. |
