| now, i might be a little too early for this bandwagon, but maybe i can jumpstart it in some little way... now, ive been in forums across the internet and ive seen something. an awakening, you could call it. people are starting to wake up and realize something... be it political forums, drug forums, modern forums, wtfever forums... but its as if everyone is waking up from the same **** dream and realizing that something in this world just isnt right. god, governments, media, markets, products, wars... none of its making sense... and people all over the world are going, "huh... wow. i didnt know that was going on" now... we could do something. im not preaching anarchy, but im not preching being just a ****ing statistic, either. we could start something on the net, in the streets, in the home, on the news... this world is really going to **** unless we do something about it and we can, but what? ideas? we need to do something... peace. |

| People have been saying the world has been going to **** for decades... because it has, I suppose. Not just on the marijuana front. So many areas of societal... of familial... of INDIVIDUAL growth and enlightenment are just not topics most people seem to have any interest in anymore. Any effort to undo that would have to overcome years, decades of societal degradation (even generational), and would be a monumental undertaking. Where would one begin? It's all too easy to demand a return to "the good ol' days" with "family values", but not everything we've learned in the last fifty years should be ditched. We've made great strides in some areas of civil liberties and personal freedom. Any battle cry for fixing personal enlightment would be too easily commandeered by the bigots. I don't see how anything can be done except to let society takes its own path.

| I dont think it is a matter of calling people to action. It is peaceful inaction and non-aggressiveness that will bring an end to the insanity. You can only add to it by aggressively pursuing change. As you said, there seems to be an awakening. I disagree that it is a large scale awakening...the majority of human beings are still stuck in a perverse understanding of life. I do believe the minority is growing, for whatever reason. But we have to let things take their course. I'm not advocating passive behavior, but big changes can be wrought with small individual and personal acts of kindness and peace. Let the love flow through you and live your life on the principles you feel in your heart. That alone can affect every person you interact with. When given the chance, speak your mind and show your feelings. I think going out of your way to express yourself adds to your own discomfort, which can affect others in a negative, rather than positive, way. As for nations and govtz, democracy is a joke and the insane will destroy the insane. Live free and kindly. Peace |

we HAVE made great strides in some areas of civil liberties and personal freedom, however, those strides and the people that have made them are being threatened by the government with **** such as the patriot act. then what? is the good ol' days really what we need, family values? dont you think its time for drastic strides in a new direction? a direction that forces change, that demands freedom? "im not preaching anarchy" because anarchy is a solution that only creates more problems... im talking about something different. where change is constant. something thought up by MIT or some mathemeticians... something algebraically, philosophically, spiritually, physically, and mentally perfect. a single, uniform mind, millions of individuals... is it too far out there? or could it be done... what do you think? | You will be assimilated, resistance is futile. I get what you're getting at, but precisely BECAUSE people are allowed to think what they want is why we have made the great strides we have. It's the foundation of our society, and no one should be forced into change, let alone continual change. Eventually we may get to the point where the majority isn't close-minded like it is today, and then the potential of the human race will really open up (unless God ends the world first, for you Christians out there), but we're a long way away. And I can't think of anything specific that would allow us to help lead society in that direction, other than continuing to do what we've been doing all along -- encouraging free thought. |

| Taking action and making things happen is a good thing, but everything has to fall into place at the right time. There's a story about two bulls, an old bull and the son of the old bull. They are standing on a hill overlooking a valley of cows, and the young bull looks at his dad and says, "Dad why don't we run down this hill and #*%$ us one of those cows." The older much wiser bull looks at his son and replies, "Son, why don't we walk down this hill and #*%$ them all." That's a story that is very popular and the moral to it is patience. Things might be moving slow now, but one day everyone will be able to enjoy the benefits of patience. ![]() |
