hey people!

have you ever noticed that when you're on weed, sometimes you seem to get on someone else's wave length? well, that's what i noticed... and it was happening a little too often for it to be a coincidence.

you know how weed sometimes gives you distinct visualisations. not hallucinations, but just... images in your head. well, it didn't take too long to figure out my stoner buddy and i were actually seeing the same visions.

now, we started just to experiment a little. i say 'think of an image', he says 'it's an animal'... and i get it. and vice versa. basically, the 'sender' just goes over and over this image in their mind. the 'receiver' doesn't focus or think about anything... he/she just goes with (not necessarily the first, but...) the strongest image in their head.

and a nice little 'undisputable' thing is if you both draw the object, rather than calling it out!

first, i sent a 'red tricycle' (with the instructions 'i'm thinking of an object')... he got a child laughing (they definitely complement each other, no?). i then told him about the tricycle, and he said without hesitation "it was red"!

then he sent a 'cat'.... i got the SAME cat... sitting on a fence

then i sent a 'deer' and he got that.

a week later, i decided i'd pick something so obscure that there's no way in hell he'd possibly guess.

i sent a man, in a chequred shirt, with a green hat, chopping wood.

he got it!

we both freaked!!!!!!!!!

somebody, PLEASE... comment on this one!!! the more scientific the explanation the better, because i'm a complete sceptic (thus, why it freaked me out so much). i actually got quite paranoid, because i thought that my thoughts were the only safe place i had... and now even my thoughts were being invaded.

lol, i was telling a friend "you know how in movies, the crazy guy comes out and says 'people are stealing my thoughts'... i feel like that". the point where i realised i had a problem was when someone said "you know how you stop that? wear a tinfoil hat" and i actually contemplated it, hehehe.

the day after this weed/mind reading session, i went to a party, got pissed so i would stop thinking about all of this, and then as a 'test of my abilities' a card was pulled from a deck, and i was told to 'guess' it.

i got it, hole in one (the FIRST card that was pulled out). in fact, i got that card almost before she picked it out. i said to her, 'you know, you should really pick another card, because i can't get the seven of diamonds out of my head' (and sure enough, that was it)!

after that, someone else pulled out a card.... i got the suit, and one number below the actual card. this happened three more times in a row.

then my stoner buddy tried the same thing, and HE got one card below the actual card i pulled out.

it's a little creepy, no?!? :-) the fact that i could do this without any weed suggests to me that weed just helps this process along - but it's a process we can all do anyway.

the best explanation i've heard are 'alpha waves'.

so please guys 'n' gals, i'm after five things:

1) questions/comments
2) explanations - the more scientific the better :-)
3) your experiences
4) if you've got experience, how you perfect these skills
5) if you've got experience with this, whether it's been harmful to you in any way.

Any input would be much appreciated!
