Hopefully we will either be extinct or have learned to conserve our planet. Because personally I would rather we dissappear than destroy this planet. Not to be peesimistic but I think the rich will still be greedy and the poor will still be poor poor.

No offense, but you must be really young if the concept of "a hundred years" sounds like an unimagineable amount of time in which the human race may go extinct. There's people that live longer than a hundred years, so in effect, you're looking at a little over one human lifetime. I don't know how healthy it is to wish you own species dead, either. -HH

So, if we have already experienced this "decadence" in "world sanity" over the past 100 years, then who's to say we won't "dry up" the world in 100 years more? Peace.7L

I think you misunderstood me or Im too high to put across my views. I was merely saying that I would prefer the human race to be extinct in 100 years than have us keep destroying the planet in the way that we are. Maybe I But anyway back to the point. WHERE WILL WE BE? I mean weve taken a great leap in the last century, what about the next??

Yes, It is a work in progress. Many of our problems will be resolved, we will have new ones and ongoing ones. Much of what we think is wrong with the world is being worked on. Changes in social policy, technology and human culture take time to debate and impliment.

Now for some provoking. Uhm how come the US government is refusing to cooperate with the Kyoto convention when all other countries do? Why when Tony Blair brought the issue of climate change up with Bush, Bush ignored it? Why is it that the Bush administration has in the past encouraged the use of fossil fuels rather than renewable sources. Global warming is the biggest issue of the 21st century. IT IS NOT OUR PLANET TO DESTROY. Sorry for ranting but I feel quite strongly on this issue.

Bush will be out of office in 4 years and lond dead in a 100. Maybe the U.S, rejection of Kyoto should be taken as a hint to develop something a little more fair.
