Yea he talks about some good points; all the main ways we humans could cause our own extinction. Nuclear war, green house effect, ice caps melting… so many problems yet so little people care. Probably because we're not going to be around when the end does come.

Most people don't think they'll be around...but I'm willing to bet that some poeple on this planet right now will see the end of civilization.

I still say Steven Hawkins and Bill Gates are secretly related. Anyone else see the resemblance?

Agreed. My children might see what will be the beginning of the end of the world, since our feeble plant is predicted by some to reach is maximum human population (12 millon-ish) in about… 60 years? At this huge population, disease and war will probably step in. On the other hand, others believe in the biological revolution. After the industrial one, and the information age, we are now beginning to look into our own bodies to see what we can correct and improve rather than looking out into space and the environment. Will the next generation have a life expectancy of 300… maybe.

will die out from lack of material resources. We won't actually die out, but we will experience a population decrease that will cause our extinction.

Global warming is a natural process that has been happening for millions of years and will continue for millions of years without a fair thee well from humans.

Humans are so egotistical. It is unbelievable......

We are never going to see the "end of the world". The world does not even notice us. Survival of humans? Yeah, we could muck that up, but the planet will spin on, oblivous.

This is what I meant by the “end of the world”, because for us, it would be the end of our world. In general, many humans are egotistic as guru of ded land put it, or more specifically, anthropocentric, and we can tend to look at this planet as “our” own planet. Your right plainsman, all other species would probably rejoice if we finally died out.
