This type of thinking occurred within me once on a "magical" night. Some intense stuff indeed. But I do understand what you're trying to say Pilo. It was a little bit different from the animal standpoint, It was more of me breaking down my minds foundation and starting from an archaic caveman, and I just rebuilt my way right back up from every angle possible; all within a thought process. After I was done it felt like I worked out my brain like a muscle.

I'm definitely gonna try this tomorrow. Go to Target and the coffee shop, some other places. Sounds very fun and interesting (hope that's not creepy... course, not as creepy as kidnapping ten kids and watching them like ants till the feds come)

I do this kind of observation all the time, and it's really interesting. It kind of makes you feel more interconnected with everything when you have the detachment to look at society from the outside in.

I'm a biology major and I do this exact same thing lol. I like to use a posh David Attenborough voice . Although it hasn't really made me realize anything new in philosophical sense. I've always thought humans were animals, just a little smarter than most.

Yeah I've also thought about this while high, I don't do it that normally in life for some reason, I go back to thinking about our collective memories that have somehow miraculously continued on with us from then, for some reason these two circumstances came from food (Typical stoner-right? :P), once was when I fed my friend's dog and I was thinking about how humans would have strived for dominance, eating away until the smaller and less-dominant animlas would get a tiny scrap, one chip in my case to the little dog.

The other time came about a bit more strangely but it seemed pretty damn magical and inspirational at the time, I put down a bag of cookies between me and my friend while he was doing shit on the computer, then I thought how if hunting, our ancestors would put their collected food between one another and they'd all just pick at it at their own whim, whether it be all of them tearing at it at once, or just taking a small bit whenever you're peckish.

But that's the only real human interaction I've ever thought about from what people do, my ideas are more based on human's thought processes, how we never really notice the very insignificant things and how we are conditioned into not realising things and how routine affects our thought behaviour.

I thought about this a long time ago. I think it's a great way to understand not only the human race a little better, but you can apply things you learn about human behavior to the animal kingdom, and better understand them as well. Dehumanizing is also a nasty war tactic, making your enemies out to be animals so you don't feel so bad about killing them. It can go either way.
