Why do you think music has so much impact on people when they're high? Why are there whole branches of the musical tree which are directly related to the effect of drugs on the senses?

Personally, I think marijuana has strong properties that create a level of hyper-empathy, making the emotions behind music more effective; in this way, music becomes more directly connected with the emotions of the listener.

Discuss.

The same reason I think anything is enhanced when Im high...because that's what I expect weed to do

Why does it make video games better? or movies? or any activity?
Music is just one of them.

I love music when I am high.. and music when I am low. It's so great.. it's hard to explain but I am sure you guys know what I mean. I feel so much more connected with music when I am stoned.. whether I am just listening along to one of my favourite tracks or playing guitar.. it's a wonderful experience.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Sometimes i get way too into my music or when i play guitar. Let's just say things get a little out of hand sometimes . Being stoned still makes me appreciate music more rather than being sober.

I couldn't so I went with the first one, because THC does induce a biological reaction in us all ; gettin' stoned.

I agree with your statement 100% when you said

I would argue that many things are also worse, so I do not see weed as "objectively" or absolutely making everything all-round better.

You've nearly broken my brain with this thread. I've started thinking about music in another context now...

I chose the hyper-empathy one. Weed definitely enhances music. Listening to music while high, I get the feeling that it goes a lot deeper than just music notes, chords, and lyrics.

I chose the third option.

It seems to me that the best Rock n' Roll ever created was made by guys who were smoking pot, droppin' Acid or LSD, or doing heroin. Personally, I find I play better when I have my mind cleared after smoking with my buddies.

Really, I suppose the first three options all make sense. It all depends on the smoker and the listener, as we all know it affects us differently.
