Default Life

As i sat on the porch, fried as usual, i observe others while they go throughout this life trying to stay alive and make things better for themselves. in the end, as humans can you narrow our purpose down to that much. I look out on the world from my fixed position and i see suffering everywhere. Senseless death, senseless laws, senseless oppression. maybe the Buddhist are correct, Dukkha all around. This world is big and too many people come and go.. but It makes me wonder why dont many stop very often and wonder why am I here. Not to be taken out of context as questioning your purpose of living but the purpose of life in general.
Many may have their own theological beliefs of the divine and im included into that. But i wonder do we all strive to just do our best and have a good life. but with this you must define good and bad. are they not just our observations of actions masking what may or may not be true. Judging what we see limits our perceptions so we don't see the clear picture. maybe im just thinking too much or maybe im perpetuating the endless concepts of life.
Regardless i feel all should attempt to enjoy life and enlighten themselves to gain a true understanding and appreciation. Eliminate self-doubt once you realize what you yourself are capable of. I know i cant change the world but who said i cant try =)

Amen.

And we can change the world, be the change you want to see, lead by example.
Good post man.

Rock on, man!

You might not be able to change the world, but if you're nice to a few people, help them out, maybe they'll do the same.

At least, we can hope.

I try to. One person at a time. As Bone thugz say, If everbody smoked a blunt to ease the mind the world would be a better place!

I get the point of the say, to relax a bit... but quite frankly - if everyone smoked a blunt, it would be a far, far worse place. The same way if everyone took a few shots, it would be.

There are some people who are just far, far too stupid when intoxicated.

I think one of the main problems in life is that we worry about what other people are doing. I think if people would just concentrate on taking care of their own faults and not worry about the faults of others, this world would be a whole lot more peaceful.

Do we live life or are we carried along on the river of life, unable to stem the flow or current? Do you control your life or does it control you?

Does this Q sound familiar?
Man, I must be getting old.
Oh yea, we live life to be sure, and the river with it's roaming crocodiles is all that I avoid, I surf the current and as it flows, we flow.
Like a riptide we ride it together, gleeful gods, they twist and pull,
patience will out, and we meet in the middle...
