Default Karma

SO pretty much the basics of karma are, do good and good will come upon you, and vice versa. What is everybodys views on karma, and how do you feel karma has effected your life?

The only example i can think of for myself Would be, that i had a rough childhood, and through hard work i have made myself into someone ahead of where a lot of my friends and parents are. and i kind of think when i talk trash on xbox live i always do bad

I don't believe in karma.
I agree it is a good rule to live by...but I still don't believe it. Live long enough both good and bad things are going to happen to you, no matter how much of a saint or a sinner you are.

Yes it's true that the probability of bad things happening to you increases if you, *Derr*, do bad things...but for every bad thing I do I'm going to get an equal negative come to me? I don't think so...

Besides, I know a few great people in my life that feel kinda fucked by karma. I'm sure they'd like an explanation for why they deserved what they got...

yeah the laws of the universe are a little bit more complicated than good begets good; bad begets bad.

that being said, yeah. do nice things. why not?

Karma is the means by which the universe teaches us what we need to learn at any given moment so that we might advance towards eventual enlightenment. Of course, most people don't pay attention and have to get beat on the head repeatedly until they either learn or pass on to the next life.
