| Hey guys so im 16 and i smoke on a daily basis probably twice a day and ive been smoking for about 2 years and i just recently started to notice this pain in my upper right lung and neck area after i smoke and it doesn't feel normal it almost feels like theres some growth in my lungs or something. I have no trouble breathing it just feels irritating and painful even the day after i smoke. I tried taking a few weeks off to see if it would heal but when i smoked again it hurt still. I dont want to go to the doctor or anything to get it checked out because i dont want my parents to find out. I want to keep smoking though because i love my weed. Please can someone help me figure out what this is and if it is too detrimental to my health to where i have to stop. |

| tell your parents you inhaled some smoke from a cars exhaust or some sort of inhaling of something kind of toxic. im not sure about doctor patient confidentiality for minors but im sure it would be easy to find out, then talk to your doctor. |

| I'd suggest going to the doctor, too. This is an unusual situation, one I've never heard of before, and I wouldn't want to risk the possibility that it might be something serious. Short of that, you might try vaporizing instead of smoking. Your problem might be with the smoke.

| If you live in the states I honestly dont know about what doctors can and cant tell about their patient. But, up here in Canada you could tell your doctor almost anything related to your health without him legally being able to tell anybody... | |

| Those symptoms are commonly reported---it is due to a combination of two factors: 1) accumulated resin in your alveoli as a result of heavy smoking 2) obstruction of your exhalation Fortunately, both are treatable by going to the sauna and inhaling the hot dry air or to a steam room and inhaling the moist humid air. The situation is purely temporary. I've had it myself and found that it works.

| Earlier this week I had a chest pain where it hurt to breath deeply and my neck hurt a lot also. Like when I swallowed it hurt to. I went to the doctor and I have inflamed cartilage of the rib cage or something, I just take these pills and they work great. Smoking may irritate said condition, but the doctor didn't mention smoking during our short checkup. Good luck |
