Smile Save your seeds! organic graffiti, a peaceful protest.

Hi everyone,
I thought of this idea as something for everybody to do on 420, then I thought why not do it all the time.

We all know its crazy that people are put in jail for growing plants, selling and smoking weed, etc. The thing is, the only time most people see whole plants is in a big burning pile surrounded by feds, or on DEA and cop shows being grown in basements of shady guys with guns and crack in the house. I'm sure all the good people on here that grow probably have some secluded spot that no-one is going to see. I've been smoking for years and have only seen a couple plants in my lifetime.

So I figure why not bring it out of the basement? Instead of throwing away those pesky seeds, keep them for a while. Once you have a good amount, let them sit in the sun on a moist paper towel to germinate a little. Then, next time you are walking in a park or going somewhere, take them along and skatter them around. Put them in parks, the side of the highway, behind the dumpster at your local 7-11, boulevards, abandoned lots, pretty much anywhere they could grow (except people's yards, you don't want them getting in trouble).

It wouldn't be there for you to return and harvest, it would be more like organic graffiti. Just let them grow and see what happens. Many won't grow, and others will be plucked, but if enough people do it, there will be grass growing naturally in random pockets all over. The cops don't look so bad when they are taking plants from felons selling crack next to schools, but people will probably be put off when DEA agents are combing through their parks and public spaces carting off plants that weren't doing anybody any harm.

It would take a small army of people doing this simple task to have any effect. What do you all think? If you are in, tell your friends and start saving.

me and a few friends were actually thinking about doing this in a nearby park.there they have little blue signs telling you different plants that grow there, i want to make one that says cannabis and put a few plants behind it. they'd get ripped before long, but at least it's something to do.

yeah I always save my seeds, and once I have a huge bag full of 'em, i'll toss 'em everywhere. Hopefully a few grow and bud before anyone finds/picks them, so I can harvest

I've been saving seeds all fall and winter! I've got my greenhouse set up for the garden (FINALLY!) so I'll throw some in there to "start" them. We have lots of lakes, streams and ponds around here and I go fishing whenever possible. That will be a great time to plant them. Thanks for reminding me to "Seed The Earth!"

Me and my buddies have talked about doing this, so now that I know people are doing it elsewhere in the world we might as well start!

I hereby pledge to plant as many Trees of Life as I can.

This is very similar to the Johnny Appleweed project, which people have been talking about for a while.

Usually, when I had seeds, I'd throw them somewhere they'd be likely to grow. In a place where the grass is cut regularly, they'll get chopped down with lawnmower blades in no time. But I'd try to throw them in places where grass/plants are just free to grow naturally, that way they have a pretty good chance of growing a bit before they are removed.
