Unhappy Quit Smoking...Having Problems

I wasnt too sure WHERE to post this one, but I hope someone can help me out here.

I was a chronic user, have been for the past I'd say six months. I quit about a little less than a week ago, and now am having trouble breathing. I can't take a full breath in, I feel so icky.. Like in a dream. Just out of it.

DO you think this is related to pot? Is it my body getting back to normal? Has anyone else experienced this when they quit?

Shortness of breath is not one of the symptoms of cannabis withdrawal, all of which would be gone after a week anyway. I'd go see my doctor ASAP. You might have a serious medical problem.

Did you quit because you were having trouble breathing?

I quit because I am a freshly graduated highschool student, and I want to become a nurse. And nurses can't smoke pot. I can not go the docotr, 1, because my mom out of town, and she thinks it is all in my head. Like I am being a hypchondriac.

now this is just my experience so it might not be the same thing you are going through. I quit right before a really stressful time in my life. I was a daily user and ganja was my main way to relax after work and school. But when I quit, all of a sudden I couldnt forget my problems by just getting high. I was just tired all the time and didn't want to go out or do anything for a long time. The shortness of breath is probably not directly related to the weed. But then again, it could be that you were a more active person before the six months you said you were a regular user. Marijuana smoke is less harmful than cigarette smoke but if you were smoking more than once a day every day it does effect your lungs somewhat. If I were you I would try to get out of the house with some friends, or by yourself, and just have a good day. Maybe start to exercise a little bit a few times a week. Really, the most important thing when trying to quit anything that you used to do often is to replace it with another activity. I hope I'm helping, I'm so bad at giving advise
