| So we found a hurt bird in our driveway today, I think it's a "rusty blackbird"? Anyway, i had my dad bring him to the vet where my mom's a tech, then she brought him home. The poor little thing's got a busted wing and a retarded (no offense to anyone) head, it's always crooked to the side and bobbing left and right excep when hes sleeping. He's seems to be doing ok given the circumstances, he's in my room right now in a cage, I put down some newspapers and a pee pad (for dogs to piss on in your house... never made sense to me), some birdseed and some water. I dunno what his future is though, cause my mom says it'll be kinder to just put him to sleep if he doesn't make a full recovery. I can understand that, being that it IS a wild animal and not being able to fly and live with the other birds would really suck... but I can't see that it's worse than not being alive at all? I guess we'll have to see what happens :P On another note, I'm about to eat my first whopper,i just had someone go to BK and grab me 2 of them =)

| Enjoy the whoppers.. the bag of BK always smells like body odour but it's o-so-delicious. That's sad about the bird but it's really kind of you and your parents to help him/her recover. I wonder what happened to the little fella. |

| We think he might've flown into one of our trucks, there was a 63 f250 right near him. |

| I only read this to find out the connection between the bird and the whopper, only to be sorely disappointed.

| Interesting thread. Hope the lil birdie survives. Make sure he has a quiet place to heal and plenty to eat and drink. If its a baby you may as well kill it now, a mother wont take back baby birds if they have 'human scent' on them. And boy, I could go for a Whopper right about now. We don't have Burger Kings in this part of AK. ![]()

| I've never had a whopper. ![]() And...I don't eat meat anymore. So I'll probably never have one. No big deal, I don't feel like I'm missing out on much. Good luck with the bird though. Have you considered finding out if some sort of wildlife rehabilitation clinic exists anywhere near you? Some places will take in hurt wildlife and nurse them back to health and then either set them free or find appropriate homes for them (at zoos or elsewhere). That's always an option if a place like that is close by.

I am shocked that there are people in the world that have never had a whopper!! I basically survived on whoppers for a period of like four months when i was working at BK and the whoppers were 99 cents. It was great! I was in high school and five bucks on my way out the door and i had food for the whole night of boozin (didn't smoke at that time).

Although I wouldn't consider the veggie burger a bonafide "whopper" in the same sense that most people think of them.
