Look at Jamie Lynn's baby's picture

she is cute. I hope things go well for them. For some reason, Jamie Lynn looks older in that picture?? Could be my eyes, lol

I just find it quite ridiculous that she had a baby at this age, with an older guy nonetheless. Does anyone else find it funny that since she is a celebrity that this action has not been frowned upon to the extent of that which a normal girl would go through if they had a baby at that age?

are you kidding? she's been made fun of for being a teen mom the entire time she's been pregnant. no one ever said that it was okay. i've read many articles where they not only attacked jamie lynn for getting pregnant but attacked her mother as well, and multiple tabloids have taken jabs at the fact that she got pregnant at 16 because she's from louisiana. i mean, they can't really say anything negative now, the baby's already been born. but just watch -- the press will be on her just like they were on britney, waiting for her to screw up even once and blow up the tabloids with it.

as an aside, her baby is cuter than most newborns, most of which i find to be pretty ugly.

My point is that an average girl would face alot harder times. Although Jamie is getting alot of bad press about it, it is ONLY media and they are known for stretching truths and digging the dirt. So, we can all assume that Jamie has no problem blowing all of their stories off like it is nothing.

How would the average girl face harder times? I think dealing with the press constantly raining down on you about your age and your lack of experience would be a lot harder than anything an average girl would have to deal with being pregnant. Not only that, now like fyh said, she will be constantly watched until she screws up with the children somehow.

Maybe I am wrong then. I just figured since Jamie's dilemma was out in the open that it would be so much easier for her to seek help. Imagine a shy, meek 16-year old girl that gets pregnant and has noone to turn to. Her family disapproves and practically disowns her and the father is nowhere to be found. You don't need media attention to make everything go sour.

we can't assume anything about someone we don't know. it was her older sister after all, who was suffering from post-partum (very common), got attacked continuously for being a horrible mother, and eventually went, well, crazy. obviously britney was well aware of the tabloids and how they worked -- she was the 'pop princess' for 6 years before she had her first child, and was under constant scrutiny before that for many things, including her viriginity. being attacked constantly by the press and strangers from across the country (or world) would be hard to blow off, especially in the wake of giving birth to your first child at 17. i do remember that i read somewhere that jamie lynn is going to stay in louisiana for a while, which is a good idea IMO.
