Ok so first of all, I don't personally know any dealers. I always buy through my friends, who are tight with their dealers thus getting me a fatter sack. Never bought anything bigger than a dub, but I always go dry for three or four days after my sack runs out. So I decide I'll buy either an ounce or a 40.

Being cheap I go with the forty. So I call my budy Tyler who got me more than a dub for $10 the previous time (of good weed actualy), So I give him the $40 bucks and he goes and does buisness with his "friend", not just a dealer, but his "friend" who just happens to deal. So he comes back, and he has a sack slightly fatter than a dub.

My first reaction was "That better be some kind of Kush or really bomb shit!" He's all like "what?" I told him that i got ripped off, that i got a dub for $40. He tried to pretend that it was a huge $40 and told me he was tight with this dealer. So I further inspect the bag. It all nugs, no shake or grind at the bottom which is good. But each and every nugget seems to have an abnormaly large (thick) stem in it. So much so that when I roll the bag shut and lick it to seal it the stems have poked small holes through out the bag.

Then on top of that, he looks at it and sais "I think this is home grown."
later after I drop Tyler off I go to my friend Izaha'a and I'm like fuck it lets just get high! He looks at it (much more experienced smoker, like 5 years exp.) Tells me its shitty, a skimpy sack, and it looks home grown.


So what could I have done? Would it have been a good Idea to tell the dealer he owes me another dub? Or do i cut my losses and never buy from him again? Also it crossed my mind that Tyler pocketed my $20 and got me a dub, but IDK. He's a pretty cool kid, but I dont really know him that well.

First and most importantly, don't let your friends do the buying for you. When the bud goes through more than one set of hands, there's always a risk of getting ripped. If you must get your connects through your friends, go with them when they buy, so that you can see the weed being weighed out. If it doesn't look fair, simply don't buy it.

Never give your money away before you see the bud. Trust me, I've been there. It sucks to know you got ripped off, and it sucks even more to know that it could have been easily prevented. If you feel comfortable contacting the dealer, ask what's up (in a fairly polite way). If you don't feel comfortable, suck it up and either find your own dealer, or just refuse to do business through that friend/that dealer again.

I hate when people use the term "home grown" to describe bad weed. Almost all weed is homegrown, some just grow better than others. "Home Grown" is not an accurate way to determine quality at all.

If your friend was trying to convince you it was a great bag, when he knew it wasn't, I would suggest to you that he's not a very good friend... Or at least not someone trustworthy enough to be getting your bags from. It's very possible that he took a "finders fee", either a little bit of the weed or a little bit of the money, because HIS connect hooked you up.

I would ask him how much the dealer weighed the bag out to, and if he would pay $40 for that kind of a bag. If he still tries to convince you that it's a great bag, when you clearly know better, he's probably not worth your time. I'm sure there are more reputable dealers in your area.

Many thanks for the suggestiions, I think i like Izaha's dealer the best, plus i already know him through my sister, who is two years older than me and is real tight with Julio, so i just gotta get julio to know that I can be trusted with stuff of that nature. Bump for high!

Do your own buying man. I have never had someone else buy for me, unless they were buying some for themselves (cheaper to buy in bulk), and were experienced enough to tell if it was a skimpy sack/shitty weed.

I would advise you to get to know a dealer, and be on good terms with him, rather than let your friends buy for you. Maybe, you could buy off your friends if they already have the weed, and are willing to show you it, and maybe weigh it out.

But I would say buy your own, unless you trust your friend, and he is buy some also. If this keeps happening, ask your friend whats up with the skimpy bags.

Maybe you should get to know a dealer that none of your friends really know. Then, if they want to buy through you, youll be the on exchanging money.

I would cut your losses and buy from someone else, and if it happens again, ask about it.

Most of the homegrown I get off of my connections is incredibly bomb stuff but still no reason to get ripped off. I know a lot of people that try to pull the whole stems/weight deal and although my friends and I grind up the stems and rip 'em in a bong, I still rather deal with the majority being nug.

You got ripped. Let it go man. Believe me even if you live in the suburbs, these teen dealers will not hesitate to fuck up your shit, no matter how unserious they seem.

Well it sounds like your friend just kept $20 for himself and tried to take advantage of you and your inexperience. That would be my guess. Atleast it was only $20 and not $50. I never give anyone money unless i see the sack first. Your best bet is to never have that "friend" buy weed for you again.

Yeah, one time due to work and school, I just had no time to get to a dealer, so I gave 60 for a 1/4 to a friend of the dealer. He's a good friend, but it seemed just a little light on glance. maybe about .5 or so short; so either the dealer chinced it because I was not there to see the bag, or my friend took a small nug for himself.

Stuff like the above is expected when dealing through people, but I would not stand for being 3 grams off the mark. Tell him he is a lousy friend for doing that to you, and that you won't ever buy off him again. Your friend Izizah, who is an experienced smoker of 5 years, should know other people you can buy off of.

Always deal with a dealer directly if possible. If you are a stern but friendly guy, you can eventually get just as good deals as your friends; just give them good business, and they should reward you for it if they are smart.

"home grown" SHOULD be GOOD weed, not poor, unless the grower was somewhat clueless. I mean , really, who do you think USUALLY grows better weed.....the guy with 5-10 plants in his bedroom closest, or the guy who has entire fields planted? Smaller crops should me more individualized care, and thus much higher quality weed. Then again, some people toss out a handful of seeds from their last bag of schwag sometime in the spring, and come back at the end of summer and attempt to "harvest" this "crop". While SOME weed grown this way may be 1/2way decent, most of it is going to be just as schwaggy if not moreso than the seeds it came from.
