Ok, about a month and a half ago smoked up a coworker on the job and bought him food, and he told me he would toss me $20.

Well, a month and a half later I still don't have $20. Every week he has some bullshit excuse and I am sick of it. I gave him a deadline of when I need it, and he blew me off, and the day I told him he better have it he went out of town for the day. I already told him I am sick of this and I am gonna run up on him, not because I desperately need the $20 dollars, I'm just not one to be bullshit so much. He is somewhat scared of me, but he thinks he can just avoid me until I forget about it.

Problem is, I know where he lives and where he works and that's it. I'm for sure not going to just ring his doorbell and beat his ass, and idk about work. Everyone at my bikeshop I used to work at is cool with smoking and drinking and stuff, they don't even mind if you come a little faded as long as you can do your job. I doubt they would want me to beat up an employee on the job though, as I think they would be somewhat responsible for him being seeing as hes only 16. They have a ton of cameras there too, and im not trying to get a lawsuit over my pride and 20 dollars. I need some recommendations of what to do to this kid.

My other idea is just dent his car with a hammer and call it even.

I would honestly confront him at his home. If you can take this guy (violence is not the answer) then there is no threat to you. It will catch him off-guard and there is no excuse for him not to pay up when he are right there. Go for it.

I need to go to work to get paid (I quit on good terms, they really just didn't need me anymore as I was only there to help with their busy season) and I will talk to him there. I will explain that hes really bein a dick for trying to scam me out of money that I gave him out of being nice, and that I am not trying to start shit with him, I just want the money and even if my best friend tried to bullshit me out of $20 I would act the same way, because im not gonna get played. I will tell him it will be a lot easier on both of us if he just pays, but I still will follow through with my threats if he wants to play more bullshit games.

I think talking to him in person will let him know I am serious, because he will not answer my phone calls and the only way he responds is text message.

Just for the record I am against violence except as a last resort.

Also, about confronting him at his home, what will I do if I go there, and he just slams the door in my face?

Confront him at home. If you can take him then he wont be violent.

Dont fight him, dont dent his car. Just tell him, I need my twenty dollars and I need it now. If not, tell his parents you loaned him a twenty for gas and that he hasnt paid up yet.

His parents will probably make him give you a twenty, or give you some of their money, and then take it up with their son.

Do not tell his parents he smokes weed! That is a dick move.

Perhaps you should wait until payday, and then on payday, go to his house, and tell him, "Okay, we just got paid, I know you have money, lets go get a twenty out of your bank account, smoke a bowl and forget this ever happened".

I'm obviously not going to be friends with this kid, and I like your idea, but once again, what should I do if I go to his house, I ask for him, he sees me, and just slams the door in my face?

I'd recommend taking him to Judge Judy. But then again, she would most likely say that you 2 didn't have a written document stating that he had to pay you back.

If you can't get on Judge Judy, I'd recommend speaking to him in a civilized manner. Tell him the truth, that you are in a tight budget and you need to pay some unexpected bills.

Well when i get the smaller end of an even bargain i usually just scare them out of it, but always remembering not to do anything illegal unless your not gonna get away with it if its brought to court.

I would never beat someone's ass for twenty dollars. If you realize that a lot of people in this world don't even get a full dollar from a days worth of work, then you can realize that twenty dollars isn't that important. You can probably work a few hours and earn that back.

I realize the principal of the thing is just him being a dick. I say consistently ask for the twenty dollars back, and if he never pays you, then just realize he won't be getting anywhere in life. If he has that backstabbing slimy demeanor, then most people won't want to associate with him.

I don't think it is worth beating him up for, or damaging his property. If he is only sixteen, then I don't doubt the parents would press charges on you if you do decide to assault him. I know in relative terms in our society (and class), yes it's a lot of money to spend on a person, and you'd hope they'd repay you, even if it is a bowl and a meal at a burger joint, but some people are just assholes. When you deal with enough of them, you will know they're assholes after one conversation , and to steer clear of them.

Ive lost out on loaning people money a couple of times, guess Im too nice to my acquaintances...Id say never bring up the money again, and put a dent his car one night with a hammer like you wanted to...

That way youll remember to be more stingy with your money and laugh whenever u see that kid cruisin with a nice sized dent, and he has no idea it was you...

I had a kid burn me on an eighth one time, so at night i went and released the air from his tires with a screwdriver...He bought new tires and everything being a dumbass, he didnt want to "have repaired tires on his whip."... well the next week he decides to give the old tires to a kid in our shop class who ended up using them.....I heard he almost shat his pants when he realized he spent 4 hundo for nothing.

whenever his name comes up i can't help but chuckle to myself...try it out!

I'm not gonna lie, denting his car would be awesome! Not a good choice but definitely awesome! It is something I would do and if you can get away with it then hell....do it.
