I've been on both sides of things...I've dated women who wanted me top give it up for them, and I did, but I resented them for it. I've also dated people who wanted me to quit, and I did it behind their backs anyway...again, not an ideal situation. I've dated women who either toked or didn't mind me toking, which was cool. However, my wife is always down to smoke, and has no issues with me doing it too. If its going to be a serious relationship, I would never lie about it or give it up just because someone didn't like it. I' me, and in dating/marrying me, you get the whole package. I don't pick and choose what qualities or hobbies I want my significant other to give up for me, so why should I be cool with a role reversal?

I would most likely cut back, granted I am single at the moment and I would be spending more time out with the "said girl". I have had exes that do and dont smoke, I refuse though to be changed by someone, I have already had exes try that crap (non-mj related) and you can old stand it so long till you have to make a decision to let them go.

I want someone to accept me, just as we all do. But people are always trying to get some ideal, and try and make you into it. I just say be a little open minded and try and talk the issue out. You want to avoid any kinda ultimatums is your wanting to stay with the person.

I could not objectively reply to this poll. In our Western culture, we have a generic term which describes what we call love. This word is not sufficient to describe what you mean when you say you love. If this alleged love is based solely on an emotional response, it`s unworthy of giving you answers cause it`s just too shallow to be taken seriously. In this vein, I suggest you try looking elsewhere for support; the entire issue is your problem.

That is why weed is illegal, and people think it is bad. Their opinions arent justified.

Depending on who it was though, and I have a few people in mind, I would quit for them if it was a must...

How do YOU know what he means by the word love, and who are you to dismiss the "Western idea" of what love is? Are you telling me that somehow love in Austrailia, Africa or whereever the OP is from is somehow differnt than what we consider love? Or are you simply one of the people who don't believe in love in general? I've found that the only people who have ever doubted the realness of true love have simply not experienced it. Once you have, its impossible to deny its something real.

Weed's a huge part of who I am. I've been through some rough times and it's helped me through those, and it's been there for the good ones as well. If someone has a problem with me smoking weed, they'd never get to the point where dating would even be an option.
It's been said before, but if someone can't accept me for who I am, that isn't my problem.

You may love these girls and everything but if they really felt the same way about you then something like you smoking weed wouldn't matter to them. They gotta love you for who you are or they aren't worth being with because if they don't then it won't last.

FUCK THAT im currently dating a girl that wishes for me to fucking quit but she loves to soo much that i doubt she will leave and i told her countless times i could care less SMOKING WEED is the best fucking hobby of mine i have been smoking prime times to take the place of weed for like a fucking month because of some job i recently aquired with the money from these pay checks I had a question for anyone who worked at albertsons they have a pre employment drug test and i have been working for 2 weeks and they still havent even asked about it im about to get my first pay check very soon and i wanted to know if anyone has ever worked there and not had to take the drug test every one at my work that i know has told me they took it and i dont want to be smoking too soon just to lose a job because of a harmless drug that needs to fucking seriously be legal america is lame and if a cop ever tried to arrest me for pot id hit and run that fucker or get beaten down its some TERRIBLE SHIT to have to deal with hidding something that has been on this earth fucking far too long just for some shitty ass laws established by fucking lame ass parents who think they can do right by changing something that effects sooo many people in many ways
